Some Girls gonna tour when they wanna wanna

San Diego-based punkers Some Girls hit Britain like a battleship bumping a ramshackle raft in April, i.e. it'll be messy, and probably wet.
With the album Heaven's Pregnant Teens in the shops now, expect these shows to be full of kids whose haircuts cost more than a couple of records. Seriously, to be seen is to be scene.

Shut Your Eyes are bad ATD-I rip off's though, Some Girls aren't, go with the Girls.

I'm gonna go with Some Girls...
...basically because I'm gonna have way more chances to see Shut Your Eyes... in the future.
I don't know if I personally agree with the ATD-I rip-off comparison but each to their own I guess.
Either way Some Girls is NOT to be missed.
And I might be being really naive but I can't imagine there being THAT many "scene" hairdo's at the shows :S

the engine room in brighton
I run a fortnightly club night there on Mondays. Like all the best venues in the world, it's disgusting. While I'm at it, I'll promote the next night to you. March 13th with totally awesome bands My Device (Shifty Disco's newest recruits - www.myspace.com/mydevice ) and 4 or 5 Magicians (tearing up a studio soon - watch out for the hottest demo of 2006 in late March - www.myspace.com/4or5magicians ). Umm it's £3 or £2 if you are a student, it has a stupidly cheap bar and two stupidly stupid DJs one of whom is me. 10:00 - 2:00.
This is all incredibly on topic. Come to my club night and see what The Engine Room is like. There we go!

I can't believe
My Device are still going. A triumph of perseverence over common sense.
Engine Rooms is ok, it may actually be too disgusting though. And the stage is in a funny place. Sounds is ok though and if its busy its got a fun vibe to it.
