Silver Jews play first ever UK shows

David Berman's alternative-country outfit Silver Jews are to make their first ever UK appearances this April.
Formed in 1989, the band rarely make live appearances, but play the following four dates as part of their long-awaited first-ever tour:
April
Mon 24 London Scala
Tue 25 London Scala SOLD OUT
Thu 27 Edinburgh Bongo Club*
Fri 28 Glasgow Tramway*
*part of Tryptych06 festival
Exactly who will join Berman on tour has yet to be announced, but last album Tanglewood Numbers featured Will Oldham, Lambchop's Tony Crow and ex-member Stephen Malkmus amongst others. Tickets for the first Scala date are priced at £15, and available from Covent Garden's Rough Trade shop, plus your usual See Tickets and Ticketweb outlets.
