OH MY GOD! how fuckng amazing was that gig?!? all 3 bands were superb..the best line-up ever! 4 days later + im still ranting on about it!!! i can't believe how cool reuben were. i went with my mate shari just 2 try + at least meet the band 'cause our tickets were stolen at school. and so, after waiting outside the venue in the pissing rain for like, 3 hours, we go take a walk round to the back entrance + there's little guy unloading the bands kit. then out comes jon + jamie who seemed really impressed that we made the effort 2 meet them. they thought it was great that we were actually there for them, as a support band. they have presents we bought them...2 police helmets + a pink glitzy hairband thingy with pom-poms + streamers stuck 2 it! jamie seemed 2 grow very attatched to that. he gave me his jacket 2 put on 'cause i was kinda damp...he shook our hands...signed our stuff...took photos (i hope 2 god they turn out!)...he was great. reuben put us on their guest list. all 3 bands were ace. the king tuts' wasnt as full as i've normally seen it...but there was an electric atmosphere...more so for reuben + kinesis than miss black america (they did however have some support, which took the form of a couple of 14 yr old girls screaming for seymore, which ended up as a 2-way conversation midway through the set!) "scared of the police" got the crowd stirring. "lets stop hanging out" multiplied the already buzzing atmosphere 3fold. reuben rocked the place! earning them the title of "my new favourite band"! --pinky-- xxx
