Re: Blackpool

Who needs gigs when you can see Roy "Chubby" Brwon every night?

Re: Blackpool

The White Stripes seem to like it there.

Anyone want a ticket to see them on November the 11th?

Re: Blackpool

No one knows anything then!!??

Ah well, thanks for your funnies - very amusing.

Re: Blackpool

seriously? There are no decent venues in blackpool that indie bands can play at, all the venues are used for some of the unfunniest 'comedians' the world has ever known. (The Grumbleweeds and Cannon and Ball, for example). The only largish venue that bands play at is the Winter Gardens, which is a nice room but the sound quality is rubbish. There's a couple of tiny 'venues' (ie pubs with stages) dotted around but nothing great.

The Ordinary Boys, White Stripes, The Music, Fun Lovin Criminals, Kasabian and Doves (I think) have all played there recently. The Stone Roses played a famous gig here in the 90's. It's basically a dirty, run down, unpleasant seaside town with very little going for it unless you're on a stag/hen do.

Re: Blackpool

lol, or it ain't too bad if you're on a cricket tour!
