What a clever idea: Get a truck. Get a pa. Get a field. Get some bands. Sell tickets and give some of the profits to Amnesty International and other local charities.

Truck Festival 2002 takes place on Saturday 20th trough Sunday 21st July @ Hill Farm, Steventon, Nr Didcot, Oxfordshire. For all you infotainment nerds, this the fifth year of Truck, it now attracts an audience of over three thousand music junkies from the "incestous" Oxford music scene and people without silly wigs and long gowns from all around the country. The event is put together by the Bennett brothers out of Goldrush who also started Truck Records. And it's going to be good, so go!

What you REALLY wanna know is.. no, not how many members of TROT it takes to make a star wars, spaceballs-esque, porn-spoof... but who is confirmed?

Adequate Seven, Adski, Antonia, Austen, Black Nielson, Scott Parker, Broken Family Band, Caliber, Caretaker, Cat on Form, Nick Chamfer, Chris TT, Jim Crosskey, Curious Yellow, Rachel Dadd, Depth Charge, Dustball, Easy Tiger, Edible 5ft Smiths, eeebleee, Finlay, Fonda 500, Four Storeys, Goldrush, The Handsome Family, John Hughes, Jetplane Landing, Toby Kidd, KTB, Lapsus Linguae, Left hand, Lightyear, Makating, Marconis Voodoo, Meanwhile Back In Communist Russia, Missed Her Bliss, Mountain Men Anonymous, Julie Murphy, NPB / El Diablo, Scott Parker, PUG, The Rock of Travolta, The Samurai Seven, Shouting Myke, Six Ray Sun, 65 Days of Static, Luke Smith, Lee Smilex, Southsea Company Prospectus, Tom Paulin, Torqamada, Tounge & Groove and The Young Knives.

Tickets for the festival are available now priced at £15 (bargain!) till June 30 - from July 1 the ticket price rises to £20. Tickets include camping for Saturday 20th. Tickets are available from truckrecords.com. We'll do a full event preview very soon, giving you info about all the bands on the bill.

DiScuss: Who's coming to party? Anyone got any idea of the running order? Which band on the bill is the bestest? Where's the nearest offie? I'm going, are you... scared..?
