go on, be honest...

I have reset it twice

because I felt it no longer represented my taste, never otherwise

I don't at all

otherwise I wouldn't have the likes of Roxette on there

i've only taken out one thing

which was 800 plays of the same pagan wanderer lu song. he promised me a badge if i got over 500. he didn't give me a badge. lesson learnt.

i think i used to, subconsciously

thus why i quit last.fm

How do you do this?

The damn thing scrobbles from my sisters i-pod aswell, resulting in mcfly/mika getting far more than they should(i.e. none)

click on edit/see more

at the bottom of your charts. you can delete stuff then.

same as me!

i'm not ashamed of some of my own guilty pleasures, but things like avril lavene and kelly clarkson really aren't me....

i

went through a phase where all of my artist listens had to be to a multiple of ten. thankfully that's stopped.

so do i win?

i'm the biggest last.fm freak here, honest.

never,

wish i could though, if only to stop Placebo being my 3rd most listened to band (it was just a phase, honest!)

as long as it's their first album it's fine

that's an awesome record.

the majority of it is

the s/t album and without you i'm nothing. i loved them when i was about 15 and started re-listening to them around xmas time

There's nowt wrong

with loving a bit of Placebo from time to time.

This ^

.

Never

I don't see the point of it if you do

I cant find the edit button

So its apparantly at the bottom of the charts? how do you look at your charts? could i have instuctions for dummies please?

worked it out!

i'm finally rid of Amy Winehouse god she was getting on my nerves

I don't know how to

hence nelly furtado being up there with A.R.E weapons

i removed

quite alot of bands which i used to listen too many years ago

I delete songs when it scrobbles then about 70 times in the same minute

other than that, I don't really care. I have a lot of artists on there that would be embarrassing for most of you.

I don't

Well, except for when I delete my brother's plays. All mine stay though, regardless of what it is.

Well

my Ipod went bonkers when I plugged it in and scrobbled "The Champagne Girls that I Have Known" 58 times... Its a good song but not 58 times good...

Does anyone know how I can change this? I cant see anything that says "see more/edit" on my charts :(

I can't either...

Want to remove some of the comedy stuff (as in stand up) that I listen too as its not really representative of my music tastes is it?

Occasionally

I'll submit scrobbles from my iPod that have already been scrobbled (I listen to music on my laptop by plugging in my iPod and playing it off of there). That's purely because I'm too lazy to sort through the list a lot of the time rather than any deliberate manipulating of my charts. Anyway, it doesn't happen that often.

i used to play music

on my ipod, without the speakers in, and submit the scrobbles, feeling very proud of myself that i'd got ONE OVER on the system, yeah.

actually reading this thread

some valid reasons. mine never seems to scrobble inaccurately though

I don't

but I'd like very much to be able to scrobble vinyl as there's certain things that I'll get on vinyl for the sound, so its unrepresentated on last.fm. Bah

why don't

they just go the whole way, you know, scrobble songs from gigs and stuff.

that WOULD be awesome though

lizzy:

download the album (or label a bunch of random short mp3s with the album's track names) and play that on silent whilst you're listening to the vinyl

*BARF*

Man

d-bag I thought people were joking when they said they did this. Are they joking? I don't know anymore.

I once deleted a listen of some M83 album because my brother was listening to it when he was here and it isn't a good album. I are ashamed of even this.

he learnt it

from me.

i do this

when i listen to CDs at home :)

This is exactly what I would do

if I had anything on vinyl to listen to. I'm obsessed with my last.fm stats. THEY RULE MY LIFE!

That is the most pathetic thing ever

Hey! I've got Slow ride by Foghat stuck in my head today but I don't have an mp3 of it. SHould I retag another mp3? What is the official Last.fm policy?

i never had before...

but i just deleted about a dozen bands I'd never heard of, a few I'd never listened to and KEANE! FUCKING KEANE! I DON'T OWN ANY FUCKING KEANE! from my chart...weird...

A problem often observed

is that the track-by-track scrobbling system favours the short song format, and does not take length into account.

Thus I have heard tell of hipster types leaving their Sunn O))) albums on a loop in order to force them into the top 50. Which would be a somewhat pathetic manoeuvre.

see above

Where is this mysterious edit button located?

Because I can't find it still...which makes me a sad little koosh-ball :(

Yes, I've noted this before

It's why Guided by Voices will be top of people's charts rather than Godspeed.

There's a website somewhere that calculates your charts on a 'time normalised' basis. The problem is that it doesn't have every artist you listen to in its database so the charts are incomplete.

never

what would be the point?

i do strive to make mine as accurate as possible though. i've only been using it since may 07 but it does have about 99.99% of all the music i've listened to since then on it.

i actually registered the account back in 2003, when it was still audioscrobbler. i kinda wish i'd actually used it before last year, my charts would be... interesting.

actually

i'm such a Last FM nerd that this week (after finding out that you can now delete ANY play from your profile) i deleted the tracks i'd accidentally scrobbled under Plus/Minus (as opposed to +/-) and rescrobbled them under the correct tag.

i win so bad.

Trouble is

they won't have the correct timestamp on them (when you orinially played them) and your weekly stats are now inaccurate. This would keep me awake at night.

Only accidentally.

I left Growing on repeat last night :(

None at all..I'm too lazy

I'm too lazy for all this. I just listen to what is coming along, simple as!

Never ever!

It'd kind of defeat the point if I did.
But I admire guntrips dedication to tagging immensely.
