i don't think i have ever seen a worse band,
people were laughing at them, i cringed and would have felt sad for them were it not for the singer wearing some sub-centurian vest.
thoughts?

i really like them
they are ludicrously I'M AN ART STUDENT though.
me too.
When I saw em at dot to dot last year they were great. And the album's not bad too.
Yeah,
they take themselves way to seriously, pompous.
he should have painted himself as a drum kit and hoped no-one could see him...
hmm, maybe they were having a bad day.
i
fucking love them!
where did you see them?
you sound like one the arctic monkeys fans who had the horrors as a support
latitude.
though i do think the horrors are a little silly if you are intent on continuing your tarr-fest....
I'm guessing latitude
I like them, and they WERE utter gash.
srsly?
i saw them not long ago and they were really good. what was wrong?
Jack's vocals were pretty weak
And I think they were swamped by being on the main stage at three or something, and there was enough room on the stage for the standing audience.
phew, i thought i was hallucinating...
yeah
i watched them for around five minutes and promptly disappeared to the lake stage, perhaps they were suffering from main stage trauma? lots of bands that sound amazing in small venues look faintly ridiculous when stuck up on the stadium-botherers arena.
i think i was undecided on their recorded stuff but they did seem awful at latitude.
think i spotted you outside the sunrise arena after broken records, saw you folks at Island Bar a while back. Small world. :)
really? how odd...
yep, that was me, we'd supported broken records recently so were hoping to have a few drinks with them, but to no avail....
island bar? like a month or so ago?
yeah
with telegramme and kategoes - the latter of which i also saw at latitude (odd, but lovely).
was going to say hello but you don't know me so it would have been a bit odd y'know.
you should have, as long as it wasn't just to say we were shit ;)
i am freindlier than i seem on stage ( it is nerves)
i couldn't
remember what your name was and i didn't really want to shout "MR BONES!" across a crowd. i will do next time though.
i liked you guys, i'm local-ish so i imagine i'll see you at another gig soonish.
in other news,
just reading the backitude thread and it seems they are taking quite a vitriolic panning, i guess they must have been having an off day is all.
an off day?
almost every live report I've read of These New Puritans has been poor. They should stick to the studio. But I don't like their recorded output either, so... yeah.
i missed them at truck
but my friends saw them and said they were awesome.
i thought they were great
when i saw them at KCLSU with blood red shoes.
That might have been me.
They made me want go and throw my record collection in the sea and start again with Scouse House. Not only were they shit, but they had the charisma of a lemon.
i really like them on record
saw them supporting blood red shoes. tried to enjoy it but in all honesty they were disappointing and you could everyone saying "worse band ive ever heard" to each other.
*
could hear everyone
At Truck
they were bloody excellent! vocals could have been a bit louder but they were ace, and just right for the time they played.
you must have seen them on an off day.
