After seeing them live, you will be in no doubt that HEALTH absolutel crush No Age.
P.S. Live>HEALTH//DISCO>HEALTH is definetely the order of quality. The debut's still bloody good mind, and the new stuff they played in May bodes extremely well for the second album.
are awsome I love all the stuff HEALTH album amazing, HEALTH live an absolute beast, HEALTH//DISCO a good luagh and some ncie mixes. I prefere the original album but nowt wrong with teh remiexs at all.
cheers jimbo, im new to all this, seriously, wont mention it again. i really want that friggin album now.
have you heard Alamos from Dundee. they are really good
been compared to mclusky but i cant see it...much
almost all of the remixes are ridiculously dull in terms of electro, and do very little with the original source material. the production values are pretty poor, with a lot of the remixers' synths and drum sounds sounding quite cheap and outdated. the debut's great, but all the reasons for its greatness (the energy, vast spectrum of timbres, rhythmic ingenuity) get sucked out on the remix album. i'd recommend the debut, and seeing them live even more so. maybe download the remix album for curiosity's sake
slightly prefer the original though, and yes live they are amazing. I will be going to that gig at the Scala in a few weeks. One of the best drummers i've ever seen, along with the drummer in my band and the guy from Deerhoof.
You can get the original from Rough Trade, you can't get away from it in there!
get the remixes get the remixes get the remixes
the remixes, worth getting.

It's at The Scala
not Astoria
And if by 'crazy' you mean 'crazily good at playing drums' then yes, he bloody is.
Dan Deacon is playing with them as well. I think it's the best no festival line-up for a gig I'll have been to this year.
and finally
to answer your question. yes, buy the album, it's immense
perfect skin FTW!
supporting No Age
in london in august
According to the UTR site
Dan Deacon is supporting as well, which is nice.

I think I've got one somewhere for the remixes too, I'll have a hunt. I'd also recommend Thank You (on Thrill Jockey) for anyone into HEALTH.
i'm seriously baffled by the love for the remix album
almost all of the remixes are ridiculously dull in terms of electro, and do very little with the original source material. the production values are pretty poor, with a lot of the remixers' synths and drum sounds sounding quite cheap and outdated. the debut's great, but all the reasons for its greatness (the energy, vast spectrum of timbres, rhythmic ingenuity) get sucked out on the remix album. i'd recommend the debut, and seeing them live even more so. maybe download the remix album for curiosity's sake
HEALTH will destroy No Age.
can't wait.
Live they are stunning. In the top 10 of best bands I've ever seen, the album is also great, don't have much interest in the remix album...
The drummer likes ales too. You've got to love any american who likes ales.
granted the remix sounds like a different album completely from the original
the remix album
is pretty yawn
your moustache
is pretty yawn
both albums are great
slightly prefer the original though, and yes live they are amazing. I will be going to that gig at the Scala in a few weeks. One of the best drummers i've ever seen, along with the drummer in my band and the guy from Deerhoof.
