Does anybody know and like the band Spoon? There never seems to be any mention of them on DiS.

Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga
Was one of my records of last year.
ive got this but havent yet got round to listening to it
persuade me please
They are very solid and reliable
They are one of those bands that you will like a lot, an awful lot, but will never quite be your favourite band. I hope this makes some sense, please listen they are good
^ yup, very much this.
NO
they are average
I disagree
they are ok and sometimes veer into quite good
i really like Kill The Moonlight
i didn't really get into Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga.
ha ha

you need someone to persuade you to get off your fat arse and put a spoon album in your cd player?
fuck off!
learn to reply properly
then get some manners.
They're brilliant
One of my favorites. Brit is one of my favorite singer/songwriters. The production on their records if fantastic as well.
Start with Kill the Moonlight if you're new to them. Then you can go anywhere else from there, all of their albums are great.
I only own
Gimme Fiction and Ga. I should really look into their older stuff.
It took me a while to get into Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, but now I find it to be the perfect 'ignore everybody on public transport' album. It's a party in my head. Hugely solid album.
And this is the show (legal download). Live from the Spitz in 2001. They absolutely *killed*. Sound quality is A-
I believe you may able to hear me screaming like a girl at one point during the encores.
took me a while to get into them, but after they clicked with me i love them. i'd recommend pretty much everything except the first album (telephono).
Don't Make Me A Target
is the best song on the album. I've given it a listen a couple of times and it's not a bad album, but don't think it's a brilliant one either.
Check out Adam (of Adam & Joe fame) Buxton's video for Don't Make Me A Target if you can find it, it's great! He loves Spoon.
I like Don't You Evah the most.
They're a bit too bland though...
Reply to my own question
I had a couple of their early albums and thought they were okay but at times VERY bland.
Anyway I recommended them to a friend with rather pedestrian tastes (he confused Neil Young with the Chris de Burgh and thought Half Man Half Biscuit sounded like The View). Consequently he loves them and bored me rigid with dull anecdotes about them on the way back from Truck.
I then introduced him to the music of Patti Smith, Hamell on Trial and Nick Cave. Needless to say he didn't like any of them, the cloth-eared git!

Genius (for the first minute and a half, at least).
I think they're brilliant
my personal favourite is Gimme Fiction.
I turn my camera on and The Two Sides of Monsieur Valentine are amazing
Spoon are still the best band in the world
(to me, at least). All the records are great, they've always delivered the goods live, and they still rate in my top 3 shows of all time.
