The letter basically says "on the 12th June we know you downloaded the Britney Spears song "Hit me baby one more time" (LOL) using the Azereus programme. Please don't download any more songs."
I think what the BPI are doing is downloading torrents themselves and logging the IP addresses of the peers they connect to.
