Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy is to release a live album in October, titled Is It The Sea?.
The record - due on October 20 - features recordings from shows in Scotland, Ireland and Newcastle, in Spring 2006.
The tracklisting for the Domino-released LP is as follows:
'Mirror Place'
'Love Comes To Me'
'Bed Is For Sleeping'
'Arise Therefore'
'Wolf Among Wolves'
'Ain't You Wealthy, Ain't You Wise?'
'Cursed Sleep'
'Molly Bawn'
'Birch Ballad'
'New Partner'
'Is It The Sea?'
'My Home Is The Sea'
'Master and Everyone'
are you sure that's not 'a minor place' rather than 'mirror place'
aside from this qualm, i'm excited!
hey, will! play some gigs! at some good venues!
thanks!
The venue he played
in Newcastle was good, in fact thee best! I might get this just because we were there. Cos I sure as hell ain't getting that Sunburned Hand Of The Man live album from Newcastle.
This guy
is even more prolific than The Fiery Furnaces and Ryan Adams.
saw him recently
and his new band was pretty bad....saw him twice on the last UK tour too and was pretty underwhelmed.....he seems to pick iritatingly voiced women to do back up live, but not on record
I thought the most recent band
was really good! It was really good with the Scottish folk band that are on this new cd too.
Lord,
another live billy album.
