Phil Elverum, Julie Doiron and Fred Squire have made an album called Lost Wisdom which is out in a few months (I think). The only track I have heard off of it is so beautiful it hurts. Download (via Stereogum.com) here.

haven't heard anything new from Mr Elverum in a while (and missed his last show, boo)
I went to it but had to leave to get my train before he came on :(
apparently he auctioned off his guitar mid set. He has 2 other albums coming out soon too!

i got up to £100 in that auction.... it went for about £180 if i remember correctly. i found out later, the guitar was worth about £70.

phil said he would cap it at £200, my friend bid £200 as thats all he could get out of a cash point, then someone came in at £230 and phil changed his mind and took it

he has recorded some of 11 old songs for his new album dawn, im quite excited because I love that album and those songs but do think they would be better in non casio
