My second daughter has had her first child today.
It has been a stressful few weeks, and I wanted to unwind and come back to Drowned in Sound to say, thank you for all the supportive e-mails and for the positive feedback from you all.
I don't have much time to spend on here so i'll keep this short.

I have been camping this weekend and have returned home with what seems to be a rather nasty cold (you know how the cold can set in during a camping trip. Not nice.), well it's either that or hayfever. I have just taken a Benadryl. Is this acceptable? Hope you're doing well, dear. And from what I recall, CRIKEY your daughter is a very young mother! Good for her :)

and I am in many organizations that fight drugs; why would I be doing it ironically?

It just garners sympathy by playing on peoples emotions,so as far as I'm concerned,it has no business in politics/law makeing.

The appropriate way to deal
with issues like this is to get to the root of the problem. Any organisation offering help to any person in need, be it to help deal with depression, alcohol, drug abuse, whatever, should be aiming to help the person in a supportive manner and offer guidance and understanding and discretion. This 'Susan Westidge' decided that she would target someone directly on a public forum (this one), drawing attention to something minor and trying to manipulate it into something it wasn't. So "she's" either really shit at "her", or it's a fake account. I know which one I'd put my money on.

I have repeatedly apologised for how I reacted to you in private messages
we agreed to not speak to each other, despite our differences and your 'doubts' about me. You've broken your own promise, but I am willing to forgive you as you, seemingly, forgave me.
I won't bring up the past again like you keep on doing whenever I make innocent posts, but please, do not cast doubt on the efforts and work I've put into my volunteer work.
M.A.D is not a job, it's a volunteer position and I have other responsibilities. M.A.D. is also not the only organisation I am a part of.
If you're going to attack me, attack me about something you have true knowledge about rather than attack my livelihood, as you see it. There's nothing more insulting than having a lifetime of work thrown back in your face from someone, like you, who knows little about it, even if I have been less than kind to you in the past.

Oh Susan. Stop preaching at me, whoever you are. I don't need your forgiveness, but thanks all the same. I do have knowledge about MAD and it really doesn't take a fool to see that having a go at someone on a public forum for something so minor is by no means an appropriate way to target your cause.
You are such a frightful mess of hypocrisy.
And googling my organisation does not give you any information about what I, personally, do with my time.
As well as working with MAD, I have also worked with the Scottish Drug Enforcement Agency (SDEA) as an assistant and Scotland Against Drugs (SAD), which is now the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives, as a volunteer. I am also friends with an agent of the Drug Action Teams (DATs).
On top of this, I continue with a full-time job and am now a grandmother. My time spent in organisations combating drugs is mainly a side interest to my full employment.
I am also not preaching to you. I am speaking to you as an adult, while you repeatedly act like a petulant child. If you do not respond well to respect, then I am at a loss of how to speak to you.
Oh, and by the way, this really is the last time I will ever speak to you. I learned to respect you in our private correspondenses but you continue to disappoint me.

I'm sure you've had a pretty long weekend too, be it a real account or fake. If it IS a real account, then my goodness, I feel bad for you. The day that I become a grandmother, I can guarantee that I won't be wasting time posting responses on a music forum to someone I don't even know.
If you are a FAKE account, then once again, I feel bad for you that you have nothing better to do with your time than to gather information and post it on a music forum, in an attempt to bait someone to evoke a reaction, that has NOTHING to do with music. Hmm.
