I just bought 2 tickets for Vampire Weekend.
Put all the data in, card, address etc.
Then I pressed 'COMPLETE TRANSACTION' and after a long while of loading, it said 'The connection has timed out'.
Do you think the transaction will have gone through or not?
Just got the confirmation email,
about 11 minutes later.
What a joke of a service. You'd think with 'indie!!!' and 'FESTIVAAAAALS!' and 'MESSY HAIR' being all the rage with millions more people nowadays, that they'd pull their finger out and get it sorted.
why
do you feel the need to explain your every move?!?
enjoy the show though, loved them at Glastonbury and Werchter
The thread was seeking advice.
Now it isn't, because the matter's been cleared up.
Its not brain science.
I've turned the kettle on to boil some water.
OMG! Will it boil? What am I gonna do?
(goes on DiS)
Phew! the kettle works and I can have a cup of tea.
(goes on DiS)
I went to the shop this morning...
...to buy a white filter coffee but they'd run out. If i'd have had my laptop on me then i would have DIS'd for advice.
I didn't.
My decision was to have a white americano instead.
Just like wrightlew, it all worked out well in the end.
come on.
this is all wrong.. If youd have paid for the coffee filter and the shop werent sure if they were going to give you the product, you'd want to know A/ if you'd get the filter and B/ if anyone else had the same problem and how it was resolved.
Thats what this is all about and the original poster closed it all off by stating it was ok.
why the pisstake?
I asked for filter coffee...
...they said 'we don't have any'.
I said 'i'll have a white americano'.
They said 'that's £2.10 please'.
I gave them the money and got my coffee.
Word down.
Seetickets is the worst thing in the world
They must give promoters a massive kick back as it's the only way I can explain why so many use their shitty service
No
Ticketmaster is much, much worse. More expensive, more complicated, slow as hell. It hurts me when I've had to book tickets on it. See tickets is a lovely sunny day in comparison (although still duff).
Why are you all being such pricks
It was a simple question.
Concured
And the examples people gave to counter it had no relevance to what wrighty asked about
This has happened to me a few times before
Ended up buying the same tickets twice before because I thought I didn't get them. Stoopid Seetickets. They are also more expensive (or at least the same price as the others) than the other options, so you would have thought they would sort themselves out.
ticketweb...
...rules ok.
They should sell more gig tickets. Generally a bit cheaper.
Seetickets is the worst and most expensive.
I'll drop the coffee story as everyone is stroppy and ghey.
Stargreen
Are good too.
Pointless to say
that one is more expensive than another.
Depends on the event/promoter doesn't it ?
My mate's promoted a few gigs in London and when he approached all the agencies, he said See were the cheapest.
Teepee_uk is right though. I booked some tickets on Ticketmaster last week for R.E.M and I thought my head was going to explode.
