for me on the conor oberst website; not sure if it's just my work pc. on first listen a couple are...alright. though 'milk thistle' did give me a lump in the throat.
I wasn't that impressed at first but it's growing on me. As good as alot of other Bright Eyes stuff, I prefer it when he isn't spanking out thecountry stuff though. I want more Digital Ash sty stuff or even the madder moments from Cassadaga. It takes me ages to get into more lyrical music though, I hardly ever take notice of lyrics until something really conects with me, and that could be a while.
sometimes it will take months for the lyrics to sink in. I love this album, it sounds more loose and laid back but also more direct than recent bright eyes stuff. faith restored.
I really would like to get this
I hope its good as he is playing in belgium and I have never seen him before.
...
There's a couple of acoustic session tracks over at my blog if anyone wants a preview - http://www.ToDieByYourSide.blogspot.com

i miss that
I want another Padriac my prince
me too
tereza and thomas. that era. when the lyrics used to make me listen. none of this new stuff. he doesnt mean it!!
'to me everything else
(including this song) just seems like a lie'.

Your life is gonna course like a history book
Don't be frightened of turning the page
Cause it's is all the same
someone should start a bright eyes lyric thread
Theres....
2 tracks on the Conor Oberst myspace and they sound quite good.
Im going to check him out at the Electric Ballroom in London. Mainly because Euros Childs is supporting, but still.

It reminds me of better songs by Songs:Ohia, Silver Jews, Wilco etc.

I would like a little more screwing round and more interesting instrumentals I think, but its damn nice all the same.
