It's easy to forget, you know. The tallest building I ever see now is two storeys. One of these days you should remember what it's like in the real world.
I can't decide if Metropolis (Mare Street, not supermanland) is one of the best or worst places ever.
Aside from that, I'd have to say Doncaster was quite a rubbish place to spend a night. I was also told that it had the highest rate of infection of STDs in the country. That combined with the number of teenage girls pushing round prams meant I decided against checking out the nightlife.
but lived until i was 18 in Hatfield. What a fucking hovel. Made me want to die.
Mind you, a little bit of old hatfield is nice, but even then, its spoiled by having the jobcentre down there and people hanging around outside wearing tracksuits.
I saw Ash there, it was actually pretty good. Mustard Plug too, they were fun. I used to get the train from Redditch every day, so I went past the Venue (worst name ever) every day.
I NEVER had the balls to go in the pub at the train station entrance though.
was fun. I remember a ska-band playing, it may have been Jesse James, and a load of asian gangsters stormed in turned the lights on and beat someone up.
It was also the first place i got served beer, at the tender age of 14. Halycon days indeed.
but St Austell is hideous. They've knocked half of it down, and taking quite a long time building the shopping centre to replace it. Not sure what's worse really, old St Austell, or a big shiny shopping centre...
Driving past PT at night is wonderful because it reminds of the intro screen to Shadowrun on the SNES; going to PT in the day or night is a deadly mistake.
The Townhill area in Swansea is a grim experience.
in the grand scheme of things. I mean there are far worse places that exist, like Luton, Swindon or Slough. Besides Derby's got an ok(ish) live music scene, quite a few decent clubs and it's a friendly enough place. Oh and it's my home.
MAIDENHEAD
haha!
Did you happen to go 3 miles down the road to a little place called
Slough?
Far, Far, worse.
^this
I used to live in slough and people went to maidenhead out of a desir to 'go somewhere nice'.
slough bashing so early?
that's my ENDZ boi
Stansted Airport
^
^
definitely.
Preston
let's make no bones about it, it's rancid.
I live near Preston.
You get used to it.
It's a toss-up between Blackpool and Milton Keynes for me.
Blackpool is definitely a hovel
the so-called 'golden mile' is nothing more than a minefield of dog shit, used condoms and empty cans of Special Brew. Horrendous.
I've never been to Milton Keynes but every time I've passed through it on the train it's looked like the dullest place on earth.
Morecambe.
oh yeah!
i was actually born there too!
I'm very, very sorry.
my cousin had her wedding there
dear lord, it was nice, y'know, but also a bit sad
Sports Bar
in Central London.
Sport's Cafe?
You get some terrible examples of humanity in there
Or Rainbow Sports Bar?
Don't know
It's a nightclub in quite a narrow street full of children and a floor of glass. Would that fit either of those?
*broken glass
It hasn't got fancy flooring.
and I meant the club
was full of children, not the street.
And on reflection,
I don't think it was that narrow. Just had very tall buildings either side.
London in 'tall buildings' shocker.
Fuck off
It's easy to forget, you know. The tallest building I ever see now is two storeys. One of these days you should remember what it's like in the real world.
:)
I do remember, I basically live in a beautiful green suburb with nary a skyscraper in sight.
The Sports Cafe is ace.
If you're really drunk and try and forget exactly what you're doing with your life, and concentrate on the Ice Hockey on the small screens.
The Rainbow Sprots Bar might well be up there.
Sports
Rainbow Sports Bar
North Dakota
Hatfield
Old Hatfield
is nice though
Yeah it is
But the rest of it? I hope it burns to the ground, apart from my Dad.
Point
well made
i was born in the QEII down the road in WGC
but lived until i was 18 in Hatfield. What a fucking hovel. Made me want to die.
Mind you, a little bit of old hatfield is nice, but even then, its spoiled by having the jobcentre down there and people hanging around outside wearing tracksuits.
Bratislava
Reading
you must have been to some GREAT places!
.
Bedford Bus Station
*shudders*
that place depresses me. Last time I was there, some kids set fire to a bin.
.
My girlfriend went to the Ladies' there once and there was some graffiti on the wall saying something along the lines of
'My baby died in childbirth, I hope yours does too.'
Beautiful place
Incredible stuff.
Are you from Bedford?
Nope.
I'm from Biggleswade!
(hug)
Scotland
^
burn him
I'm joking, of course
the real answer is Portsmouth
Pompey's alright.
Qatar or Feltham
Qatar is amazing!
To me anyway.
port talbot reminds me of mordor
that flaming tower
Bulwell
Redditch
or possibly Beeston
I was going to say Redditch
or possibly Bradford
The only good thing going for either
is the curry
Did you ever go to
"The Venue" as a young gent?
oh yeah
I saw Ash there, it was actually pretty good. Mustard Plug too, they were fun. I used to get the train from Redditch every day, so I went past the Venue (worst name ever) every day.
I NEVER had the balls to go in the pub at the train station entrance though.
The Venue
was fun. I remember a ska-band playing, it may have been Jesse James, and a load of asian gangsters stormed in turned the lights on and beat someone up.
It was also the first place i got served beer, at the tender age of 14. Halycon days indeed.
Stanley, County Durham
but what about beamish!
Eh? Do you mean that Beamish is worse?
I think Beamish is quite a nice little place and the museum is rad.
Or do you mean that Stanley isn’t so bad because of Beamish? That’s a bit like saying that Sunderland is nice because it’s near Newcastle...
Exeter
Exeter's lovely!
Exeter hated me
Exeter's alright
I went to Uni there, gets a bit boring after a while, but lets face it, when both Plymouth and Torquay are nearby, it puts things into perspective.
HULL
you fucker
ULLS MINT N IF YER COME ERE ILL BATTER YER FUCKIN BACK DOOR IN DICK ED
lovely
:-)
Ok I'll stay away then.
^this
while I was there some 'delightful' kids said if my friend didn't go and buy them some cigarettes, they'd break my leg. :'''(

DiS can't cope with my advanced language skills
I assumed it was somewhere in Poland
it is
is it pronounced 'Tony' or something?
Birmingham city centre
It was rubbish. I am never going there again if I can help it.
City Centre is quite nice
its some of the suburbs you've gotta worry about
Kilburn
Camden
Camborne
The only good thing you can say about Camborne is at least it's not Redruth
Camden's a soft target
*St Austell
I like St Austell, it's all right
apart from all the racism.
Same with the rest of Cornwall
Redruth is much better than Camborne
but St Austell is hideous. They've knocked half of it down, and taking quite a long time building the shopping centre to replace it. Not sure what's worse really, old St Austell, or a big shiny shopping centre...
I'm in Redruth right now.
I'm having a whale of a time.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I came into this thread
just to say Redruth.
hilarious
my ma is from Redruth and my gran is from Camborne, i lived in Hatfield and Exeter. Its like im connected to all the worst places in the country.
Rhyl
Driving past PT at night is wonderful because it reminds of the intro screen to Shadowrun on the SNES; going to PT in the day or night is a deadly mistake.
The Townhill area in Swansea is a grim experience.
alabama
eww
Hospital last year.
Farnborough
Aldershot
How did I forget these places?
Lincoln
Spalding
Nottingham
Derby
Mansfield
Clapham
Lincoln?!?
On what planet is that anywhere near the worst place anywhere?!
Nothing wrong with Derby either,
in the grand scheme of things. I mean there are far worse places that exist, like Luton, Swindon or Slough. Besides Derby's got an ok(ish) live music scene, quite a few decent clubs and it's a friendly enough place. Oh and it's my home.
mansfield is pretty bad.
but i've seen worse.
sorry if I caused any offence
Lincoln was the most backward inbred place I'd
