Thread has probably been done before. Just curious to find out what songs are your least favourites from some of your favourite albums.
Ween - Chocolate and Cheese
Track: Candi
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Track: Mezzanine
Super Furry Animals - Phantom Power
Track: Valet Parking
Blur - Think Tank
Track: Crazy Beat
Just a few of my favourite albums.

hmm
House of Cards on In Rainbows
Octet on Cryptograms
Touched on Loveless
I beat up the bathroom on Variations on swing
15 step
Not a big fan of that track. Amazing album though.
I too...
...am no big fan of 15 Step, but like the album.
But oh boy...House of Cards? How can that possibly be the downer for anyone who likes that album? So beautiful.
Actually, it's pretty cool that that difference happens...
this seems to have become a bit of classic marmite thing..
it just.. plods.. doesn't it??
ah 15 step is awesome!
i would have to say nude (awaits blasting) it weirds me out a bit when i hear it
yeah
i can appreciate Nude as a song in its own right, but it doesn't fit the rest of In Rainbows at all. which is weird because that's the reason they gave for it not being on an earlier album...
I love 15 step!
If Reckoner was to disappear that would be my track of the album.
Lose Reckoner? Sheer madness, that's the best song on it!
Getting back on topic:
Dog Man Star (Suede) - Daddy's Speeding
Spirit of Eden (Talk Talk) - Wealth
Loveless (My Bloody Valentine) - Loomer
Mingus Ah Um (Charles Mingus) - Pussy Cat Dues
Trout Mask Replica (Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band) - Hair Pie:Bake 1
Let Love In (Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds) - Lay Me Low
Didn't MrScagdenSir mean Reckoner
is the best track off In Rainbows?
It soo obviously is
ummm
sufjan stevens - illinois - jacksonville
no way
I love that one
In Limbo - Kid A
Touched - Loveless
Venus in Furs - The Velvet Underground & Nico
house of cards
is my least favourite, although i quite like, it's too earnest or something. love 15 step, so creative.
valet parking and crazy beat also my least favourites.
arc of time on bright eyes digital ash is grating the way he sings "die, die, die". great album, though.
Make War
On lifted by bright eyes
venus in furs
is the best song they ever did!
* Sunday Morning
or The Black Angels Death Song
Shirin
on Night Falls Over Kortedala.
wrong
it's glorious.
Strange time in my life on the other hand..
Tough call but I'd say
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
Hands Away
Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
She Is Suffering
My Bloody Valentine - Isn't Anything
Cupid Come
The Jesus And Mary Chain - Psychocandy
Something's Wrong
The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses
Shoot You Down
Right now, I can only think of:
Manics Street Preachers
Album: Everything Must Go
Track: Unremovables
hmmm
Newark Wilder - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain, Pavement
So Here We Are - Silent Alarm, Bloc Party
Apples - Fashionista Super Dance Troupe, Help She Can't Swim
None are particularly BAD tracks, just poor relations on their albums really
Jeff Buckley- Grace
Corpus Christi Carol
Idlewild- 100 Broken Windows
The Bronze Medal
Frightened Rabbit- Midnight Organ Fight
Keep Yourself Warm
McLusky- The Difference Between Me And You Is That I'm Not On Fire
Lucky Jim
Pulp- Different Class
I Spy
Bronze Medal's ace.
I'd pick Rusty off that album.
I don't dislike Bronze Medal to be fair
But i prefer Rusty, just.
Rusty is probably one of my favorite tracks
I'd probably say I Don't Have the Map is the weakest song on the album. Not at all bad but not as awesome as the others.
I Spy ?!!!!?
That's the best track on Different Class.
I'd lose Bar Italia instead.
It was between the two actually
But I Spy just really irritates me in parts for some reason. Still love the album, and it hardly ruins it for me or anything.
The Smiths
The Queen is Dead
Vicar in a tutu
:(
asdf
trail of dead - source tags and codes - baudelaire
more to come later.
^ agreed
okay
No Age - Nouns
Track : Keechie
Muse - Absolution
Track : Sing For Absolution
Battles - Mirrored
Track : Atlas
Fuck Buttons - Street Horrrsing
Track : Ribs Out
I dont particularly hate any of the songs in question, I just feel they're not as strong as other tracks on that album.
Good call on Crazy Beat too, that song was a disaster.
Atlas?
Now you're just being silly!
as I said
I dont hate any of the tracks.
Atlas was the song that made me want to hear the album at first, and after listening to it I realised that Battles were really capable of doing much better things.
Ddiamondd, Leyendecker, Tij and Rainbow are all vastly superior.
I do think Atlas is okay though.
For me it'd have to be
No Age - Nouns
Track:Here Should Be My Home
fucking
agony/agatha from reubens 'in nothing we trust'.
AWFUL.
So
ATDI - Relationship of Command: Rolodex Propaganda
Suede - Dog Man Star: The Power
The Cure - Bloodflowers: The Loudest Sound
Constantines - Tournament of hearts: Lizaveta
Bright Eyes - IWAIM: Old Soul Song
The Power
is awesome!
I would vote for...
Manic Street Preachers - Everything Must Go: Further Away
British Sea Power - Open Season: To Get To Sleep
Although to be honest, these aren't even my favourite albums...I just think these tracks shouldn't have made the cut on the above. I tend to like all the songs on my favourite albums :\
:0
old soul song?
no way!
settle for nothing
on rage's first album.
its still a decent song but it really breaks up the album and doesn't fit in.
i can't understand
how no-one's mentioned Fitter bleedin Happier
mine
The Impossibles-Return
This Is Fucking Tragic
Ultimate Fakebook-This Will Be Laughing Week
A Million Hearts
Saves The Day-Through Being Cool
The Vast Spoils Of America
a couple...
Born To Run - Bruce
Meeting Across The River (Just a bit nothingy really)
In Rainbows - Rhead
Bodysnatchers (I know, i know. Everyone loves it, but i think it starts off good then the middle nothing happens then it ends well. In general just doesnt go anywhere)
Battles - Mirrored
Track: Bad Trails (just does nothing for me)
...
The Smiths - Meat is Murder
Track: Meat is Murder
I think I only listened to that track the first few times I stuck that particular album on. If I want to listen to bovine screams, Ill attend the opening of a new Primark.
Who Do You Think? off "Our Love To Admire"
In form it is supreme pop though.
Fitter Happier
in OK Computer
really really pisses me off.
So terrible.
Just a few
My Bloody Valentine - Loveless
Track: Touched
TCTC - Kickup the Fire and Let the Flames Break Loose
Track: Promises Promises (amazing single, doesn't work on the album)
Ryan Adams - 29
Track: The Sadness
Belle and Sebastian - Dear Catastrophe Waitress
Track: Roy Walker
