The Burger King veggie options

OK, so someone on here tried to convince me that i should, in fact, go to BK because they now had veggie options (of which i was unaware).

Plod, plod, plod to Burger King and find that of their two options, only one is actually veggie friendly. So "hey - one is better than none, gimmie one of those bad boys. And make it a meal, sugar-tits. Diet Coke for liquids".

For four pounds fifty this is going to be pretty damn good, eh?

"Urrrrgh - the horror! What has happened to oesophagus?!?", I shrieked. "What a flimsy, soggy vulgar piece of food. I'll take your Boots meal deal any day, thanks."

And so ends the story of my first trip to BK in 7 years.

yeah,

but the six packs are to die for!

It is called BURGER king

I m sure the meat they serve at a Vegetarian restaurant would taste shite

yeah

which only exists because of your types, leave the burgers to us normal humans and go and humus up your falafel

oh you naive little person.

Why do you think they specify the type of burger it is?! 'BEEF-burger' / 'CHICKEN-burger' / 'BEAN-burger'. Burger is a term upon which you apply a prefix of what type it is, it is not entirely synonymous with meat

Nah

i would say that most people if you said burger would take that as beef.

that's because it's culturally synonymous.

Semantically it is not necessarily beef.

Now unless you want to actually make an intelligent point (for which i would not judge negatively) then please take your attempts at being shocking back to the playground (NB: i never attacked carnivorous people, i attacked BK's crap quality of burger)

i love the way flippancy

is thrashed out on the internets. oh wait, no i dont.

Going to burger king if your a veggie

is like going to a brothel if youre celibate.

are none of you reading my post??!

"OK, so someone on here tried to convince me that i should, in fact, go to BK because they now had veggie options (of which i was unaware)."

No, I did read it

I ama agreeing.

aplogies.

I'm awfully snappy today. The piss-poor, expensive burger annoyed me.

i once kicked up a fuss at a burger kind

because they list the spicy beanburgers as vegetarian, but little do you know they actually cook them in the fish/chicken fat. this made me very angry so i said that i am never going back again. those vege burgers are skanky too. i don't eat fast food anyway, the closest i get to fast food is pizza express.

They have a bean burger as well you eejit!

But yea it's spectacualy bland but I can get the meal for like £3 so I do on occasion, the Bean Burger is much nicer though.

see above

WILL PEOPLE READ MY FUCKING POST PROPERLY??!?!?!

"and find that of their two options, only one is actually veggie friendly"

Bean burgers are fried in chicken and fish fat

what is the actual veggie option then?

don't they have the vegetarian society seal of approval on their veggie burger?

yeah, that's the option.

It was pretty disgusting though.

The fries were alright, mind

oh right

that's what i have if we ever have to venture into one..mainly to feed Mr S's meat yearnings :)

I have just woken up

for that I am sorry and suggest going to Red Veg, best veggie fast food in the world!

apologies for the snap, crackle and pop there.

What is Red Veg? I have never seen one of these in the lands...

Vegetarian fast food chain

They ONLY do veggie burgers and they have a lot of variety to boot much like the way most fast food chains do

http://www.redveg.com/

see :)

.

The story so far
RedVeg started in Dean Street, Soho towards the end of 2000; we have now expanded into Gardner Street in the
North Lanes of Brighton as well as an appearance at the Glastonbury Festival
in 2002.

Getting there I spose

there's a market here for sure:

by the time one appears i'll probably be out the country though.

M&S roast veg sandwiches it shall remain.

Fantastic idea they had though; great niche!

i'll vouch for that

good takeaway veggie burgers and v reasonable.

* bugger

are you offering?

how did last night go by the way?

hmm, well all is not yet forgiven (give me a week)

but things are back to niceness, thank you.

May i add that it is me who is always nice, and it was he who was in the wrong.

Good good

I had similar drama over the weekend, although it was me in the wrong. All back to normal now.

i hate being wrong.

Hasn't happened for a good while, mind :p

So hurrah all 'round for stability

I did not know you were vegitarian.

I though you liked a big meaty sausage? :D

Indeed.

What we talking about again?

Re Burgers

If any of you meat eaters were to go to 'REd VEG' (brighton or london)
There you would find burgers that even you would like....probably more than burger king....why? because they are not molded by a machine, cos they're old fashioned because they might have some burnt bits and be a bit lumpy and thick cos they're not mass produced. Vege burgers can be delicious and appeal to everyone, its just that they, like many meat burgers are mostly fashioned by machine moulding nowadays and processed too much

I was dragged into Subway for this reason.

Ended up paying like £4 for what was basically a limp salad baguette. It was rubbish.

The same 'caring' friends also treated me to a McDonalds. After waiting 20 minutes for my veggie sandwhich, the lovely staff proceeded to drop it on the floor. :(

So yeah, Boots Meal Deals all the way!

Hey, that was me!

Burger King is ace. Hush yo mouth.

The veggie burgers are so bland and tasteless though

its like eating styrofoam with the odd carrot or pea cropping up

^SO wrong

Nope

u loose, I perfer the Veggie Burger at Grubbs and burgers at Red Veg to any other avalible on ye olde fast food market

medulla, if you're in glasgow

surely you know about 13th note? great veggie food in there. i don't think they do takeaway though. and its a great little venue to boot!

i love a burger king kids meal - the veggie burger option.

i don't eat much fast food, but last summer i became obsessed with them and had one a week. better than meat...oh and they had simpsons toys.

...

It's made me intollerant to meat!

and I wish I was fucking joking, it has literally made me allergic to meat

No it hasn't
