I just don't understand it

how could you NOT like him?
1. he's obviously got The Cool. Watch a video on youtube, see a picture, LISTEN TO A SONG. it's pretty much immediately apparent that he's cool whether he's being a bad muthafucka like in stagger lee or a poet like into my arms

2. Brilliant songwriting. He's proved that he can write brilliant songs and make them interesting too, though that could be down to blixa or wallen ellis, but who knows.

3. Lyrics. He's one of the best lyricists ever, i'd say. It would be pretty gay to dig out some of his best ones but they're all there, in every song.
