So I have to go to the dentist this thursday, and its the first time ive ever had to get a tooth out.
I was supposed to get it out last year, but my serious fear of the dentist made me put off going back until I desperately needed to. Now the tooth has worn away and he told me he'd have to cut into the gum to extract it.
Will it be as painful as he's obviously made it out to be?
YES
You may even die
SRSLY
Not at all.
The only pain is the needle going in and the dull ache in your gums afterwards. Get stocked up on painkillers and you'll be fine!
Hmmm, I'm not sure
if they have to cut into his gum that doesn't sound like a straightforward extraction. Could be more painful than being kicked in the nuts 1000 times if you ask me.
cheers John
I was contemplating getting drunk or something beforehand, that might help.
Oh no I feel really bad now
I was just remembering when I was a wee lad, I had a tooth out that had crumbled and the dentist had to dig into my gum to get it out. Despite all the nitrous and novacaine I was crying out in pain it hurt so much. But i'm sure anaesthetics have improved and your dentist is far more skilled than my NHS hack was.
Nope
i have just finished getting a root canal today, it took 5 appointments just because the roots WOULDNT DIE.
I was scared of that but my mum very rightly said to me "oh stop moaning, its only a bit of pain"
