Do you ever eat more than one course for dinner?

As a child we used to have a nice pudding every night and sometimes a starter for special occasions. Nowadays I only ever have a main course unless I have some ice lollies in and then I'll have one of them for pudding.

Do you ever bother with puddings? Or even starters? Or if you're really really posh, cheese boards and a mint to finish?

I sometimes have a dessert

but never a starter unless I'm cooking something nice for my girlfriend or vice versa :)

No

me too

usually just chocolate or something.

yes

me too. i must always have a sweet after my salty dinner. unless i have sweets for dinner. then i usually need something salty, like popcorn. i'm so healthy.

nope.

Not really.

I sometimes like to round tea off with a jam buttie though.

I'm always snacking

which could be considered a starter.
We sometimes have choc-ices or cake for afters but the rare times we have a cheese board are the best!

Also, Jaffa Cakes in custard

is the best dessert ever.

Ah wow

that - my man, is genius

Always two........

occasionally three, but usually only if it involves the laydeeeeeeeez an' that.

Tirimisu is always a winner.

The only thing I can make is crumble, I tried to do bread and butter pudding the other night...total write-off! : (

good skills

crumble is great. Rhubarb being my favourite.

yesterday

I had popadoms for a starter, then pizza. Usually I only have 1 course though

^ this is true

how you're still alive is beyond me.

rarely

this troubles me too, I always looked forward to pudding, whether it was simple (ice cream with magic ice choclate stuff) or fancy (rhubarb crumble). Now I tnd to just have my 'main'. Although I occasionally have pudding at the canteen at work. And I had chocolate cheesecake last week when my housemate bought it.

magic ice......

....mmmmm the best thing ever. What happened to it? Can you still buy it?

someone mentioned it the other day

so i imagine so. hang on.

well there's this http://www.smuckers.com/fg/ict/default.asp?groupid=4&catid=8&prodid=97
some american stuff, or this aussie stuff http://www.cottees.com.au/index.php?menuID=156
but neither are in that inverted teardrop bottle i remember.

the best was the caramel flavour

I could drink that stuff

Stop it!

Salivating.

Ah thanks :)

it was actually called Ice Magic wasn't it? Why would they stop manufacturing something like that? Why?

no problem

it was
i don't know
I DON'T KNOW

nah never

not even when i go out to eat at a restaurant. there's no point really.

5 Maltesers = starter

50 Maltesers = main with side-clump of white Maltesers to balance the taste, basically veg to the Malteser meat

100 really melted Maltesers = pudding

sometimes

but only because i time my cooking awfully so have to eat the main course in seperate pieces otherwise some of it will go cold.

I used to do this

when I went through my prawns, peas and grilled potatoes phase.

when i was younger

we'd always have dessert with roast dinner on a sunday, and sometimes starters.

now, not really. only on special occasions, though i do like having a biscuit or something after dinner.

NOM

pudding often at the weekend

and sometimes in the week

last night was semolina..with jam, yumbo

not unless i've made a cake which happens every month or so now :(

I hate buying stuff like that from shops - tastes rank.

I'd really like to make a meze as a starter one day, but never cook for enough people to make it worthwhile. Might just force-feed my housemate.

hi!

i've got one of those bumper value dinners from iceland

like on the adverts

let's set a date!

:D

thursday. i'll be there. i'll be the one with the flower in her hair.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I'm the same

If I've got some Blackcurrant Jubblys in the freezer then I'll have one of them, otherwise I only have a pudding if I'm at the Harvester for dinner.

I don't go that often

I can't afford it. But when I do I make sure I get an ice cream sundae with chocolate sauce. Absolutely divine.

since i moved home yes

often a pudding although not every night, and on sunday we will have a starter (always either melon or prawn cocktail) if my sister comes round.

most often the pudding is what's left from the weekend. i think there is still cheesecake left for tonight. it's m&s, freakin' sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

puddings

sometimes on a sunday.

just 1 course during the week, unless i make home made bahjis to go with homemade curry.

I always have a pudding if I'm at home

Or at least cheese and crackers. I embrace being middle class.

Always 2.

i mostly have a salad as another course.

after my main meal.

Yeah, I always have dessert

you crazy.

why?

isn't dessert for poshos?

No

Muller Fruit Corners

Or a few big scoops of Onken Biopot Passion Fruit + Mango flavour (the emperor of the yoghurt world).

I like yoghurt after tea, cleanses the palette, I hate tasting my food in my mouth after I've ate it.

yoghurt

All cxxk

All yoghurt.
