between some of the Propeller / Bee Thousand era Guided By Voices songs and early Oasis kind of odd? Both very Beatlesesque in that very kind of laddish stompy lager rock way.
See Metal Mothers / Smothered In Hugs / Tractor Rape Chain (and others) ... all very Oasis sounding, but assumedly both bands were completely unaware of each others music at the time of writing the particular songs.
