.

Mary Jane's Last Dance = Dani California?

Always had a lot of time for them

Although 'Full Moon Fever' is probably my favouite, depite being a Petty solo album.

i've not heard that

i'll have to check it out

Full Moon Fever

Free Fallin'
I Won't Back Down
Runnin' Down a Dream
Zombie Zoo

essential!

Not really

It's classed as a Tom Petty album rather than with The Heartbreakers, but it's still full band stuff, with most of the songs co-written and performed with Jeff Lynne. It's a bit like when Springsteen dropped the E Street Band in the late eighties. Except those albums were wack.

wrong way round

mary jane's last dance is fantastic though

my little

brother is called Tom Petty. Fact.

I knew a load of hippies

out in texas who hated everything that wasn't 60s folk... except Tom Petty. I've always had a soft spot for him cos of that. Learning to Fly is a great song

"damn the torpedoes"

best LP

bye

lotsa love

i think he/they are great.

actually just listened to "refugee" again

and its not as good as I remember when I was a nipper

I had a

revival of love after the Superbowl performance this year. It wasn't nearly as good as Prince the year before, but it still totally ruled, and i've been listening a lot this year as a result.

darn i missed that

i'd love to see them live

Classic bit of camera panning to a purpose picked fucking stunner in American Girl, you just gotta love the Superbowl.

If you can find the Prince show absolutely worth watching, one of the best things i've ever seen.

anyone seen the

Bogdanovich movie ?

I've heard it's pretty awesome

i was brought up on this

and leonard cohen and travelling wilberries...

and my dad is still annoyed that i'm obsessed with music. surely it's all his fault with a childhood like that.

Cohen

My mum played me Chelsea Hotel when I was like, 6 or 7, to see if I liked it. I shit you not, and whe wonders now why I'm a clinically depressed music nerd.

Loving TWs

I had a long car journey the other day with a back to back Travelling Wilburys sesh. I had the time of my LIFE!

tom petty = MOR shite

if you ask me...

that's

clever of you. How anyone can not enjoy listening to American Girl is beyond me.

yikes

That profile of mine needs updating. I'm not 18! I'm 21 now sadly.

.

No you aren't. Internet stalkz loloz!!!

Yes

always loved them, both my parents listened so was raised to think they're great.

My dad

had the greatest hits when i was a kid so i have a soft spot for them.

Amazing stuff.
