Quiz Call right now

The game is "Films with a person's name in the title". They gave, as a clue, that one of the films was released in 1998 and starred Rachel Weisz. The answer was 'Amy Foster'. I just did a bit of research and discovered that Rachel Weisz has starred in no such film, nor was any film released in 1998 under that name. In 199*7*, a film called 'Swept from the Sea' was released, starring Rachel Weisz, which was based on a short story called 'Amy Foster'.

This is basically illegal, isn't it? Can I do anything about it? I want to make some money.

  • are you sure it wasn't given a different title for its release in another country?

    • Oh

I started finding that out but then stopped before I posted this thread. EPIC FAIL :'(

      • Okay, but for future reference

        money to be made, right?

        • er, as long as you keep outwitting them like that....

          no

  • Jesus, you guys are up late.

Who wants to wish me a happy Independence Day? I'm out in the suburbs and stone cold sober. I need it.

    • My "What are you reading?" thread is still on the front page of the board--ACE.

Less replies than last time though, I think. Shame.

PS: I have a dog who looks sooooo much like an ewok curled up next to me right now. Amazing scenes.

      • Is this not a late night blabber thread?

Woops on my part. Sorry, I've totally hijacked it.

        • hi Alley

what did you do today, then?

          • oh yeah

            Happy Independence Day Day! x

            • Thanks, ZsaZsa (PS: do you have a real name or is it a secret?)

I cleaned my new apartment (which was filthy from before I moved in), but still have lots to do to it. I also procrastinated on reading for school and started Watership Down instead. I made a really good butternut squash soup. I was on the phone a lot, I recall, but I don't think anything of any importance was said at any point. Bleurgh. Then I came out to the suburbs earlier than I had planned, because our (my former) next door neighbors' old dog is dying and I wanted to get to say goodbye. I've known him since I was five or six years old. I also saw the local fireworks from a school parking lot. I don't really like fireworks anymore. I just feel like I'm wasting my life when I'm watching them. They're ok to see, but not to spend time on, and sound-wise they only remind me of guns and missiles (and fireworks). I might outright dislike them.
