Drowned in Sound

I want to go somewhere I haven't been before for a days drinking tomorrow and was wondering if anyone knew what Cambridge was like for: pubs, clubs etc etc.

If it's shite can anyone recommend somewhere in the South that isn't Brighton, Bournemouth, Bristol, London, Southampton, Portsmouth or Oxford.

My weekend is in your hands.

The King Street Run.......

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Street_Run

It's got a little easier since I last did it in 1999 as there fewer pubs there now.

Brighton and Bournemouth are PARTAY towns, I was in the centre of Bournemouth a few hours ago and it's a wall-to-wall hen night flangeathon so you may want to reconsider!

I like both Brighton & Bournemouth

but i just want to go somewhere different. Cheers for the Clovelly heads up. I spent a lovely afternoon there today.

Great stuff! Really glad you went.....

I'm always raving about the place.

Did you see the donkeys?!

I did.

They weren't doing much though. Just lazing around at the top at the start of the cobbles. Would love to go back there and spend the day drinking in one of the pubs, but it's too far to go again.

My one gripe about the place was that there was the other facilities- No cost and not even a Pret! What the fuck was that all about?

Jesus! i'm tired. My typing has gone to shit!

^was the other facilities^

Ahhh...I know what you mean, but........

it's a private estate and the aristocrat that owns the land would never alow any chainstore action, I'm not even sure if they'd be allowed to as English Heritage/National Trust et al would probably take them to court if they tried.

I ate at the pub by the harbour, obviously the seafood was great.

I was looking forward to going there again soon, but that was before I found out the girl I was intending to take was a coke whore!

Win some, lose some :D

I was only messing about it needing a Costa and a Pret.

Maybe not about the Pret bit.

I think that was called the Red Lion. I had a couple in the New Inn and chatted to some old girl in there. Will definitely go back when i can face the drive.

Full of cunts

Reading

innit.

Thats where i'm trying to escape from.

Due to the glowing reviews of Cambrige I'm now going to Cardiff.
