London is filthy

isn't it?

  • yes

    and no.
    depends

  • yep

as much i love certain aspects of london, whenever i go down i end up with the dirtiest, greasiest hair and face.

    • yes pretty much

      my nails are always dirty

      • do you scrabble around in the dirt?

        • Constantly,

          like some sort of rodent

          • ?

            ? ?? ?????? ??????? ???????????, ????? ???? ????????? ? ??????, ? ?? ?????? ?????, ??????????????, ?? ???.

    • well next time

      try swallowing

  • like most other capital cities.

    • That's not true though.........

Prague, Copenhagen, Vienna, Stockholm, Budapest, Washington DC, Canberra, Wellington, Ottawa aren't anywhere near as grimy.

Yes, some of those were purpose built capitals, others are comparatively recent settlements, but they're all > London in the grime stakes.

      • yeah but if you just got off the boat

had a look at trafalgar square and took a wonder down the south bank you'd probably say the same about london.
get to zone 2 however and boom! filth town

      • I don't know that much about city sizes,

but I'm guessing not one of them is even half as big as London.

        • Well, they're all way bigger than Portsmouth

          ...which is a grimy shithole.

  • bits are

    bits aren't

  • Pretty much

  • mehhhhhhh...

...It's sort of like finding dusty paperclips under a cupboard.

Maybe a couple of bouncy balls aswell...and plastic army men.

  • Yeah.

  • Yes

    it's a dirty whore

  • not compared to Rome.

    Festering dusthole.

    • Its just dirty because its so transitory

no one really cares about where they live as they won't be there for long. That's how I read it. Or its a 'cultural' thing. Or its because no one has any 'self respect' BUT show their dogs/cars/trainers respect or you is fucking knifed YEAH OK?

      • it's just dirty

because it's got so many people and there's never a quiet time.

Muswell Hill is clean. Central London is non-stop litter production filth. Also bus-dust settles on everything.

        Unavoidably grubby.

        • It's dirty because no one ever gives it a good hoover.

  • If Camden was cleaned by a crack cleaning squad for a year and a day

it would still be dirty. It is the grimiest place in the world.

  • Yeah, pretty much.

I went to Manchester last weekend though, and was suprised at how dirty it was. Nottingham's pretty clean in comparison.
