hello. i just bought an ipod. it's lovely and great. and i want to put some films on it, so what i want you lovely folk (and bamos) to help me with is to point me towards a nice free download that i can burn to a disk at work and then put on my pc at home to let me rip dvds into a format that'll then work on an ipod.

I use handbrake
It's free and it burns DVDs onto your computer, but you have to pick the size ie, perfect for your screen or big enough for your ipod.

for me too. can take quite a while to copy dvds, but it is pretty good.
