saw it this morning before work

is it actually directed/made by Wes Anderson?

or is someone getting away with TOTALLY ripping him off?

even the titles were in the same font he uses.

it's directed by dean learner

i don't think it's ripping it off, it was deliberately referencing it. vampire weekend are always being called wes anderson-esque

Haha

I love it when people refer to him as Dean Learner. Bring back Darkplace!!

how can music

be wes anderson-esque?

think they're

cleverer than they are? liked far too much for no obvious reason?

oh olololol

stupid wes anderson

what a stupid man for writing and directing really nice easy to watch films.

The video, imo, is pretty poo

but, I just lurve the song. My fav of the year so far!

It was interesting I thought.

Let me just say that Vampire Weekend are the most charmingly brilliant band ever, too.

Walcot & M79 > most of the album

great song, boring video, even if it was in one take. still boring.

it was srsly richard ayoade from barley/boosh/it crowd?!

that guy watches too much anderson

and that's coming from a guy that watches too much anderson.

/

darkplace, obvz his best performance

my arse is grass

and the superintendant has a lawnmower

like knockers in a wind tunnel

Ayoade does quite a few videos

Arctics, SFA and Last Shadow Puppets that I know of.

Music videos are always referencing films

and imitating their style.

I like that.

Also:

the singer from Vampire Weekend has a great walk.

And a great suit

I think I may have a slight man crush on him, worryingly.

has wes anderson

made any music videos?
I really like the video and the noah and the whale one and it'd be cool to see what his looked like.
