I am considering the iPod Classic 80GB
A few people I know have got that Philips wireless hard drive stereo which I like the idea of, but buying an iPod and maybe one of those Klipsch speaker/docking sets would be half the price and have better sound.
I have avoided iPods and stuck with other mp3 players...Creative, Samsung, even Packard Bell!
What I want to know is, how is battery life affected by being docked permanently? Also, some of the fluffy features like displaying album art...does that take up memory like a photo would?
its 80gb
you really dont need to worry about memory.buy one.i love mine
^
it's the most beautiful possesion i own, it's probably more important than most people.
^ this
it's a tad temperamental but 80gb is not to be trifled with.
Get it.
It's very good.
buy an ipod
or ill hunt you down and murder your family
^Apple employee
It's beautiful And sleak. And Apple.
Plus if it breaks. You get to book it in for repears and a man comes to collect it. Ahh I love my ipod!
repairs*
have you got one yet?
i want photographic evidence by sunset or its game over. punk.
I'm scared
but Amazon aren't that efficient!
i adore my 80G classic
got it at christmas.
vowed never to buy an ipod, but srsly, it's amazing.
i spend so much time organising artwork and correct tagging and stuff, it's my baby. got about 55-60GB on so far
I got one free with my phone........
it's lovely.
The only people who hate iPods are nerds, paedophiles and those types that think 'FACIST' is how you spell fascist.
i'm not a paedo or a fascist
buy a zen instead!
...
now why would nerds people with more technical knowing dislike a device which is used to carry store and play digital media perhaps they might know more about you on such matters , and technicly speaking they are not most advance nor are they "best" at there function but are infact a social style factor. which is reason they are bought and so successful not to mention the delibrate leaps in there abilities where delibrate updated and scaled but sold as yet as not a functional but icon yada yada ya knows .
I may be losing my mind
but I have a new 80gb one and used to have a 30gb. The 30gb was a lot louder...a lot. Broke twice though.
Maybe it's the earphones?
Or it's somehow set to be quieter? Perhaps you can change it.
Nah,
I have good Shure head-phones - same set I was using before. I have tried all the settings. It is loud enough but I felt better listening to the old one at 1/2 volume rather than 3/4 + with this one.
What difference does it make? None.
Why have I mentioned it? Don't know.
helf and safty
innit.
can't be too loud in yr little earsy wearys now can it

I love mine to pieces.
I don't know a lot about any others though, so wouldn't be very fair to compare.
I don't think displaying aldum art takes up any room because they aren't good quailty images.
You reap what you sow, people.
And all you Ipod owners are going to reap the whirlwind.
Judgement is upon us.
they're shiny.
and apple's packaging is always very nice and always has a distinct smell.
Thats how they get you.
By making it shiny. You're all magpies.
i too have an 80gb classic
it is, as per the title, a classic.
I have the 16GB touch.
I debated going for more memory but the desire to have technology points outweighed that.
The wi-fi means I can check my e-mails pretty much everywhere, watch iplayer, even browse DiS! Plus, thanks to internet haxzorz it also has a commedore64 and NES emulator on it =D
buy an ipod or
steve jobbs and i will beat ur mother.
you've got about 6 hours fuck face
i know ehere you live
