If you were playing against the world's best sportsmen/women

in which sports do you reckon you'd score a point?

Tennis - no way. I wouldn't be able to return federer's serve and he'd hit every single one of mine for a winner.

Golf - If I was playing a matchplay against Tiger Woods on a really easy course there is a chance I could halve a hole. maybe.

Snooker - in a 10 frame match against Ronnie O'Sullivan I could maybe pot a ball.

Cricket - I doubt I'd score a run if I faced 10 overs against shane warne.

Football - if me and my best 4 mates played 5 a side against a world V there's no way we'd score a goal.

  • boxing against floyd mayweather

    lol.

  • Blood Bowl

    I reckon I could scrape a TD

  • I'd stand more chance of getting a run off Shane Warne than anything else, I think.

He's got to bowl one duffer in 60 balls. Surely.

    • that's if he hasn't got you out first though

    • I'd struggle more against Brett Lee

      I don't think I'd see the ball

      • This is what I was thinking

I faced a bowling machine at 80mph and hardly put bat to ball.

    • he bowls pretty quick though

it'd be an odd game. I mean, he'd get me out before i scored a run at least 19/20 times. But if i get 60 balls to try and get a run....probably not but imight get a lucky edge/slog

  • i could maybe get a run against shane warne, that's it

    and that's a massive maybe

  • i'd hope i could beat Shane Warne in a 100m dash

    does that count?

  • ha ha ha I was thinking this exact thing last night....

    as nadal whipped Murray.
Snooker - as i never went to uni and played a lot I reckon I could score some point if given the chance.
    Tennis - no fucking chance.
Golf - As you say, really easy course and matchplay maybe half a hole (on a good day)
    Football - No.

  • If I went up against Eric Bristow

I'm sure I could hit the dartboard at least once.

  • Darts

    would be your best bet.

    • True

You'd have to be pretty terrible not to get a point.

      • Hi!

        • I read threads up

and I make no apologies for it.

          • I do too!

I was trying to say that I could probably miss a dartboard a lot.

            • I have one in my room

You're free to come round and practice whenever you want.

  • Against Warne

am I faced with the rest of the Australian side fielding? Cause if I was facing Warne against Everards Leicestershire League Division 7 standard fielding, I could probably get a few runs off Warne I reckon.

International pace/swing bowling? Streaky edges are my forte, but i rather imagine my timbers would be tumbling within the first 1-3 balls.

    • RE: Warne

my point being spin bowling against shite fielding, you can just watch the flight, skip down and twat it. Take that you fat Aussie bastard.

      • And you've only got to get away with it once

If Alan Mullally can do it, I fancy my chances.

        • exactly

          the Mullally arguement is watertight.

  • I've only scored one try

at some of the lowest levels that rugby can be played at, and that was by cheating.

Unless I was running off Dan Carter's shoulder and he made an 80 yard break then put me in over the line, I'd never score a try

    • *running on Dan Carter's shoulder

i'd only be able to do it via piggy back.

  • in other elite sportsman news:

my uncle is not going to the beijing olympics :(

  • Tennis - no chance

Golf - yeah, I reckon I might be able to get par on a par 3 hole
Snooker - no chance (though I might be alright in a game of pool)
Cricket - I'd run away screaming if someone through one of those rock-solid cricket balls at me at 80mph.
Football - maybe in a penalty shoot-out against Gareth Southgate (topical!)

  • Tennis - not a hope in hell

Golf - once I got over my nerves, I like to think in 18 holes that Tiger and I might par the same hole.

Snooker - I've taken a frame or two off some decent players when they were much younger, but someone like Ronnie O'Sullivan would be untouchable

Cricket - I'd be alright in the field, my bowling wouldn't bother them at all and I couldn't bat for toffee

Football - my freinds and I have taken care of some of Newbury's finest, after that I think there would be a bit of a gap in class

  • Pinball

Well easy to score ONE point.

    • Provided you held your nerve and got in first

you could take a frame of snooker off anyone - if you pot all the balls, it doesn't matter how good the chap sitting down is.

If he ever got to the table though, he'd murder you.
