Current overdraft - £1750
Overdraft after an involuntary HSBC review - £1750
Fee to arrange the new (?) overdraft - £25
Isn't this stealing?
Don't people get put in prison for stealing?
Why aren't HSBC in prison?

that does seem a bit rum
Isn't there some kind of 'consumer champion' you can appeal to? Were you over your overdraft when it was reviewed?
that makes no sense, but i think it's because of the value
if you dropped it to 1k they would leave it at that no probs. Going from a student account to grad or grad to normal by any chance?
You need to get Nicky Campbell on the blower.
*anne robinson
and Alice Beer
those were the days.
going from
graduate account > normal regular folk account
I have spoken to them, and it's nothing to do with being over my limit, the charge is the arrangement fee for my new overdraft....
"BUT IT HASN'T FUCKING CHANGED!!" was my response
"We charge you for having an overdraft"
"I KNOW YOU DO, I PAY INTEREST ON IT EVERY MONTH!"
"But we carry out an annual review for your overdraft and the charge for this is £25"
"FUCK OFF, YOU SHOULD BE IN PRISON"
Then she hung up
:)
God bless Nickly Campbell btw.
I've had this
They are cunts
HSBC
are generally scum.
Apologies to any employees on DiS.
Well fucking harsh
write an amazingly worded letter.
Ouch
Trouble is, you probably signed up to it. Switch to nationwide, they're lovely. I have the same overdraft as you + credit card, and they've never hassled me once.
