can men be 'broody'

thats the term for wanting a kid innit? (i dont mean in a sexual way)
i've felt like this this week after looking after my cousin.

men?

  • I've had this fleetingly

If you want to cure yourself, google "third degree tear"...

  • I think we just have souls <3

  • i can't

babies make me edgy, like i'm going to do something clumsy and somehow accidentally injure them

    • I get this

but then in treating the baby like dynamite covered glass, accidents are even more likely!

  • One step at a time, let me find a nice lass first!

  • Yes.

    I frequently am.

Luckily these feelings vanish when I get to the pub and realise that actually having a kid would put paid to much of this hardcore drinking action.

  • totes.

Bamos and I once joked about adopting a kid together. I'm not sure if he knows just how seriously I ended up considering it.

    • who do you think would be the best mother of the two of you

would it be just like an episode of my two dads

    • You do realise you'd have to do more work than me?

I'd be a loving parent, but quite an unreliable one. I get easily distracted. Look, a pub...

      • As long as you were bringing home the bacon

        – both literally and metaphorically – I think I could deal with being Mother.

        • would it be just like an episode of my two dads

          • Sounds like it.

            With added bacon.

            • will sadpunk come over to visit on the elephant i'm gonna steal for him

              • yes :)

and the elephant will pick the little scamp up with his trunk and gentley rock him to sleep, dumbo stlye!

                • walkingwithwolves

is gonna help steal the elephant, she had a good idea about dressing like ninjas which seemed like itd be a cool way to do it

                  • I'm always up for dressing like a ninja!!

                    :D

          • I've never seen My Two Dads

Did every episode end with the family dancing around the living room to the Thermals? That's how I'm picturing it.

            • i cant remember really

              so i'm gonna say yes

              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:My_2_Dads.gif

who of you will be which one of the dads in this picture

              • Bamos is the dude on the right

I can't compete with that level of beardedness.

                • the one on the right looks like the more sexually ambiguous of the two dads

                  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Two_Dads

imagine chasing the same girl as bamos and then her suddenly dying and leaving you and him her kid to bring up, would you be cool with that

  • Yes.

I always wanted my own kid. Then my sister had her baby and I thought "Nah, I'll just be the awesome uncle who buys his nephews and nieces lots of cool toys".

  • i want a son

  • I sometimes

do, although i dont think i have enough patience.

    • Are you a doctor?

      oh.....

  • I'm as broody as hell

    I wan't to reproduce

    • also....my spawn with be terrific

      • *horrific

        • why? whats wrong with a mini-me?

          • Well

Being bulbous and oikish, flinging itself about in public arenas, collecting odds and ends, licking piss off nettles... And quite alot of Bashing the Bishop.

This is what I predict for your offspring Liam.

IS THAT THE KIND OF LIFE YOU WANT FOR YOUR CHILDREN?

            • I see what you mean...

...collecting stuff is sort of geeky.

  • I've met more broody men than I have women.

So I'm guessing yes. You soppy fuckers.

    • :(

      • It's okay sweetheart.

It's just that for some reason, it's more socially acceptable for men to admit that they're broody than it is for women. We just get branded psychos with tick tick ticking clocks.

For the record: my biological clock is broken and that's just the way I like it.

  • personally, no

Having a sister 13 years younger than me kind of put me off having kids.

I'm positive men do get broody!

  • yeah i think so

  • MirriLondon's kid would always smell like cabbage

    Right up until he's 40.

  • it probably happens, yeah

but definitely not to me, i hate kids.
