What do you all think about this, is it a logical move, or will it further create a feeling of unease and distrust amongst men, specifically those who are around children? Can't help but feel that during a time when positive male role models are running thin, this is just another attempt to demonise them. The fall in males becoming teachers could perhaps be attributed to the climate of fear?
As someone else said, "Statistically speaking a child stands a much higher chance of being abused (and not just sexually) in their own home or by a member of the family or extended family then being kidnapped by the mythical bushlurking paedophile, but why not play "the paedophile card" in a time when support for the government is at an all-time low and we're on the verge of an economic recession?"

isn't exactly an anti-paeodophile test is it. I though that it was going to be some sort of series of questions asking people if they were aroused by children, or you're forced to watch pampers adverts whilst your crotch is examined for movement.

CRB checks are not tests.
You do not have to give multiple choce answers
When you see a small child do you:
a) Avoid eye contact and walk on by
b) Say "hello" and walk on by
c) SCHWING!
I blame safety culture. It doesn't affect me as I need CRBs to work but it is a fair bit silly.
