both good. GBV one has a crazy story about some guy that was studying Pollard's lyrics for his PHD and following one set of lyrics attempted to climb the eiffel tower and died!

But the Double Nickles on the Dime one isn't that great, let's face it when you go through and album song by song and the said album contains about 45 songs it's going to drag after a while.

The best one that I've read was Armed Forces by Elvis Costello and the Attractions - a really good read; detailed, multidisciplinary and well-researched.
Thought the Low one was OK, and the Doolittle one was crap - it seemed to just be about Black Francis driving around in his car, didn't find it enlightening at all.
I've read the OK Computer one
It's very... technical. Breaks every song down into bits. Mildly interesting, but not essential.
I have both NMH and
Doolittle - both alright, no more.

The Forever Changes one
is pretty bad.
Not so much about the recording and writing of the music but about the author trying desperately to link the lyrics to American phrophecy, playwritings, novels etc that Arthur Lee may or may not have read and be influenced by.
