Oh man, everyone on there, i swear, you propose a trade and their like 'Well, this is the first edition, 300 copies made, lime green, serial number 0a479PF9... i dont think so!' and nothing ever gets traded unless there are less than like... 4 of them in the entire world... cant they just trade like normal people, jeez!

but this is just a nice way of keeping track of what you have got without getting them all out, and who wouldnt want to know their total number of records!

- Unwilling to trade unless it's for some ludicrious AFI 12" that there's 12 of in the world...

is a bit of a misnomer. Real nerds dig through crates of vinyl at charity shops, trawl record stores and occasionally pay through the nose for something special on ebay.

And, yeah, thats my problem with it. I love vinyl, but i certainly dont like the manner in which records are traded on that site. I love to trade, and lots of labels do it with their stock and it's a great way to get new records without spending lots, but when you stumble over something like that you dont stand a chance...
Talking of trawling through records, i found all 3 Melvins records from the 'KISS' series at a boot fair the other week for £1 each! Their worth £30! Bingo!
