Who went?
Amazing amazing amazing. Not too loud until the end which was distressing through earplugs at points, and the venue stank of vomit at the end
And we saw mark e smith in the pub before the gig! WOW!

I went!
Second time I've seen them in a week, I knew what to expect this time so came with earplugs primed!
I agree about the vomit smell, we were standing by the sound desk and had to move as it was horrible.
I had quite a nice spot, the sound was decent, could hear a lot more of the samples and vocals this time around. Feed Me With Your Kiss is an absolute monster live.
I heard a rumour that in soundcheck they hit over 130 decibels. Madness!
i went
it was good.
they played only shallow out of time. the stuff that didn't use loops sounded really good.
it was loud. i thought i might throw up, i didn't but some people definietly did.
That happened at the roundhouse too
Only Shallow sounded slightly off.. in the loud bit when Kevin Shield's guitar comes in there sounds like a slight gap. I was wondering if it was a patch on a multi-fx changing.
WHY
did I not go when I had the chance?
I was too scared that they'd somehow be rubbish and ruin all my love for them
Everyone I have spoken to said they've been amazing.
This will go down as only the second real regret of my life.
i went
i tried to get your number from jessy, but to no avail. she told me about your spotting Mark E Smith though.
i didnt smell the vomit, but was nowhere near the sound-desk
oh shit! i forgot to reply to her
and when she texted me she implied that you'd use my number to stalk me :D
thats quite horrible :(
I wish I hadn't dropped my earplugs a few songs in
A earplugless You Made Me Realise was pretty painful after a while. Pretty great gig though, despite being able to hear virtually no vocals.
Later that night I fell down a flight of stairs to cap off a fine evening.
eeek really?
are you OK?
I'm fine
I just cut one arm a lot, and I ache a fair bit too. In other news, I'm a complete idiot
Don't forget losing your coat as well
damn you whiskey!
I know!
What a mong. I was really close to drinking all of the whiskey too. Sheeeet
Did you get back to Dan's
alright and mess up the holy grail of music that is his record collection? bloody boomkat employees! Beats & Treats fo'sure.
Yeah I ploughed into his place
and started man-handling his rare vinyl. The ultimate Boomkat nightmare! Then I smoked his weed, fell down the stairs, had a bit of sick, passed out on the floor. 8/10. Beats & Treats ftw!
I was there on Saturday
it was mint. I Only Said, Thorn and Blown A Wish all sounded brilliant. The holocaust was brutal as expected - I went without earplugs for that though I probably shouldn't have. The Isn't Anything stuff was brutal too.
I'm quite looking forward to the Isn't Anything reissue
as the original is very quiet compared to loveless. The songs off that were my favourites live, as they sounded quite different.
yeah
I'm not that fussed about the Loveless remaster but I'm very curious to see what Shields does with Isn't Anything. As much as I like the songs on that album it does sound a bit flat in places.
FEED ME WITH YR KISS
was fantastic last night.
I was there on Saturday
We were in the balcony. I saw them back in the day as well and they were just as good as I remember. Didn't bother with earplugs and it was no problem although my hearing took a while to come back on Sunday.
The 'Holocaust' section is just as 'challenging' as I remembered. The girl sitting next to me looked like she was going to hurl! I reckon the beer and the skunk took the sting out of it for me.
The Isn't Anything
stuff was so much better than the Loveless tracks live.
I went on Saturday
It was amazing, although my ears are still ringing a bit.
I thought it was hilarious watching people freak out during the holocaust... there were a fair few wives/husbands looking at their partner like WTF have you brought me to?
Hehe, I saw a few like that!
Did anyone else think the band slightly messed up the bit where they go back into the song in You Made Me Realise?
Yeah i did actually
i felt it just kind of pffft out
MMm, I thought that was a shame
as it's kind of the payoff at the end of it!
yeh, they really messed it up
they seemed to a little bit at the roundhouse as well. not the ICA though, that was perfect <3
Yep totally
I think it was just the sheer volume of the noise segment that made it impossible to return to any normal song and vocal structure for the final minute.
from the times i've
seen it i think its a bit of an effort to get all of the effects off quickly at the end of the holocaust
Yeah, that's what it sounded like..
.. I thought a delay was still oscillating as they walked off!
there was a lad in front of me
who spent about 10 minutes of the holocaust holding his head and rocking back and forth quite manically, before giving up and leaving. Not quite sure what he was expecting tbh.
one of my mates couldnt handle it at all....
whilst another went and stood right in front of the speakers!
i went on saturday
in manchester, me and my mate was like 'shall we get some ear plugs' but we thought naaaaa it cant be that loud surley, haha how i was wrong! great gig though! glad i went as i was half tempted not to as they are one of my fave bands and didnt want to ruin anything with a bad performance etc, but im glad i did go it was amazing!
amazing
the best bit was 'nothing much to lose' where the noise properly kicked for the only time in the main set. it was like kevin shields had wheeled out a jet engine and turned it on! i literally felt myself pushed backwards
nuff said about the holocaust bit... sonic bliss
It's a great feeling
when you can feel the air around you physically moving.
YOU DON'T GET THAT WITH FLEET FOXES
does anyone know if....
...they have plans to do more UK shows after they return from abroad??
^ POTD
that was for you
"...bastards"
*nods*
:)
It was, indeed, incredible
As was the stench of sick at the end. It was so loud that it must have had an adverse affect the man in front of me, as half way through the gig, he filled up three pint glasses with urine, and then put them in a neat line in front of him. Which was then, wonderfully, knocked over by a man trying to record the gig on his mobile.
Oh, and during the Holocaust bit, I noticed that a roof tile directly above us was loose at one corner, and spent the whole 25 minutes of Über-hell-noise wondering at which point I was going to die a ceramic/white-noise combo-death.
But the gig was just INCREDIBLE. And I saw Lard of off Mark and Lard.

8 years waiting for this...
and it was absolutely amazing. Don't know why everyone is going on about how loud it was. Earplugs are for losers, it wasn't that loud (I challenge you to stand next to the PA at a Wolf Eyes gig!!!).
Great set+amazing band = one very very very very happy chappie.
Loved it
when they started with 'I only said' i'd have gone home happy. Better live than on cd, I hope the remaster hits those peaks. The look of pain on some people's faces during the holocaust was priceless. Also loved feed me with your kiss, soon and Thorn. Went to see Radiohead the next day, didn't compare.
