Is there a particular order in which I should listen to Shellac?
They're next on my list of bands I haven't listened to that I really bloody well should.

For me:
At Action Park and 1000 Hurts are the absolute essentials, then Excellent Italian Greyhound and finally Terraform (although it does have the sheer brilliance of Copper on it).
i started with 1000 hurts
but, at action park is my favourite. i'd go with either of those.
terraform isn't that grand.
and the new one has about 2 good songs
I've only heard At Action Park.
It must have been a good start for me, as I plan to venture further. I think I might go for Excellent Italian Greyhound next.
I started
quite randomly without knowing what i was buying with 'Excellent Italian Greyhound' and loved it.
can't go wrong really.
Try and get the Uranus 7" though for 'Wingwalker' at some point though.
1000 HURTS
DEFINITELY
where not to start?
everything they've dove is essential. i got into them from Big Black and some Rapeman releases, but...if you're aware of the 'Albini' sound anyway, just dive in and buy what you can.
Start with Action Park and work your way up in order...and if you can try and get hold of their Instant Singles Collection so you can hear Wingwalker, Billard Player Song etc...
my best choice is easily Terraform.
