i'm about to go to the shops to try and find some clothes to wear. the one thing i always think on this shopping trips is why the hell do couples go clothes shopping together?
it's insane. there are only three kinds of couple shopping permissible - records, books, and sex toys so you can both make eww faces at them and run away and be glad you're not the middle-aged perv on his own in the shop (mean, yes). I genuinely don't believe men know what looks good on women, so the whole critical appraisal thing is a bad excuse
do you like shopping with your partner?

Nope
next
what about second opinions? eh?
Not that I enjoy the shopping process with a partner, but second opinions and all that. Yes, second opinions indeed.
girlffriends telling boyfriends what to buy
it happens. it works. it's a system.
some men know what looks good on a woman. some don't. horses for courses.
i guess what i was trying to say
is that most people get slightly stressed when they go clothes shopping. it usually makes me go into paroxyms of self-loathing, which i wouldn't want to subject anyone to. plus my boyfriends have never cared much about what i wear (they said, anyway)
I went clothes shopping with a girl once
never again.
I don't have a girlfriend but if I did I imagine I would probably not like shopping with her.
I am solitary like the eagle in the sky, not the meerkat in the mob.
I tolerate it
but I don't like it. She's good though, she gets bored after about 20 minutes and we go to the pub.
Couples who shop together, drop together
not really sure what this means.
I like being in town together
laughing at crazy people, dicking around in shops, having something to eat and a few swift drinks before heading home.
The shopping part really sucks though. I hate shopping for clothes for myself, nevermind other people.
I haven't gone shopping with mine yet
probably as the only chance we'd get for it would be at the weekend, when the shops are really busy and it's a bit stressful.
I used to shop with my last gf though, she was quite good at picking out stuff I'd like. Not sure about the other way round though.
I love clothes shopping with my girlfirend
if it's stuff for her. We only go together when she's got something in mind and it's fun to laugh at people buying stupid clothes.
I can also try to persuade her to buy clothes which show off her rack.
i try and persuade my girlfriend
to buy really bad fashionable/trendy clothes. like those shitty headband things some girls wear. or gold lame treggings. it's hilarious.
If I'm shopping for myself
I'd rathergo on my own, but if we're shopping for him I don't mind tagging.
aren't the majority of
fashion designers men?
Also re: your point, it's twaddle.
Cheers
Clothes shopping with your partner
is a fucking unmitigated nightmare. Its so boring and tedious.
Record shopping together, on the other hand, is a joy.
Couples that shop together, strop together.
My attitude to shopping
is 'go into shop, find something good, buy it, leave'. The whole process takes about 2 minutes per shop. Thus, shopping with a partner is fine. We go in together, buy something then we go the pub.
Most women's attitude to shopping differs in that they do all that 'trying on' nonsense and also try and give you advice on what to buy. Both are pointless things, and just delay the purchase and the getting to the pub bit.
What about food shopping?
food shopping is the best with a boyfriend
especially the friday drunken shop at an all night place, before you get home
nightmare.
i hate clothes shopping enough by myself, except sometimes for vintage stuff or in thrift stores, but feeling like i'm dragging someone around with me is the worst.
however, i do like laughing at guys who are obviously in this situation, particularly in la senza.
