If I was at Glasto now, I would probably be making my way down to the Jacobs cerial stand next to the Radio 1 stage, to get some Strawberry crunch cerial and a cup of coffee.

I got a confusing text message at 2am this morning from my flatmate who is at Glasto. Now I wish I was there

the weather is irritatingly nice

isnt it. i want to be there

I keep hoping it rains there

does that make me bad?

me too

we're really bad naughty hateful jealous people :(

It really annoys me, because it is

my flatmates first time there, and inevitably he will be thinking it is brilliant!!!!!!

But he will have no idea of how good it used to be, before the capacity was bumped by another 25 or 30 thousand. Can't remember the actual figure, but it made a massive difference.

BBC news was doing a pointless segment

on the festival this morning, speculating on why tickets have not sold out (mud, too much competition, BOOKING AN ETHNIC TO HEADLINE, mud) and they spoke to some out of touch Sloanies camped near the Pyramid Stage. Said Sloanies attempted to explain The Glastonbury Experience without uttering the word "DRUGZZZzzz!" and one of them actually said "it's just so random here!", at which point I just started shouting "WACKY! WOOOO! WACKY! WACKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!" at my TV over and over and then I realised I was 20 minutes late in leaving for work.

Fackin city boys!!!11

Glasto iniiiiiiit.

It's my first time not going in 3 years

and I'm not arsed in the slightest.

I wasn't arsed

until I realised this morning that, instead of travelling to work, I could instead have been mooking around a field.

However, all things considered, I'm still not too bothered.

^5

See you there!

Not if I don't see you first!

Will have to swap phone numbers beforehand.

Aha, but if you DON'T see me first...

I shall be able to sneak up and pounce!

Will facebook you with the vital comms info.

:D

Is it too late

to impulsively go today without a ticket?
they're not sold out right?
hmmm

you can still buy them on seetickets

I bought one last night and am departing for Glastonbury in.. LESS THAN 7 HOURS!!

i cant be bothered

I also recieved the ungodly hour text messages around 02:30 from friends have left all employment and normality behind them to the fields of pilton

I'd normally be there,

but after last year I just really couldn't be arsed this time.

And I do hope it rains again this time...

Jay-Z

I was thinking last night that we'll never know if he was good or not.

All those that went will say he was amazing and a great headline choice and ya ya blah blah JUST to make the point that it's an amazing festival and you wouldn't undertand BECAUSE YOU WEREN'T THERE MAN...YOU WEREN'T THERE.

(I wish I was there now it's happening)

I have never wanted it to rain so much

especially since my sister rang last night and said she had a vip ticket.

I decided to save my cash and a week of holiday leave and give it a miss this year. god i really want to go now.

I hope it rains too...

I am a bad man.

I've even had this on refresh for the past three days...

I'm in a calm state of limbo over this

No close friends are going; everyone I know who *is* seems to be both a fair whack older and richer than me; it does seem to be a bit of a family picnic affair this time round.

On the other hand, those people are farting around happily in tents, and I am work. I am focusing very hard on thoughts of Truck.

Seems to be pretty dry...

24 June 2008

Glastonbury revellers can expect mainly dry but breezy weather at this year's festival.

Met Office forecasters are predicting relatively settled conditions with a good deal of dry weather over the weekend, which is in sharp contrast to the wet and muddy conditions of recent years.

Andy Page, Chief Forecaster said: "Festival-goers won't be basking in scorching sunshine, but temperatures should be quite pleasant. There will be a few showers around over the weekend but these should not be too heavy or last for long. However, we're expecting it to be fairly breezy with gusty winds potentially affecting tents."

I am jealous. Though I am going to the Fuji Rock festival in Japan at the end of July so can't really complain! I bet it pisses down.

I'll be watching on TV

you miss most of the interesting / good stuff that way, but still better than being there

I'd probably be wandering around looking for some stoner metal

and shaking my fist at anyone with an acoustic guitar and a straw hat.

...

It's my first time not going since 2002. I really wasn't arsed at all, but sat here at my desk I do kind of wish I was there. But at least I can take comfort in the fact that the line up is still rubbish, none of my close friends are there, it's going to rain at some point, and I'm seeing Radiohead on Sunday.

I wish I wuz there,

went last year and the one a couple of years before. But, can't be arsed with the rain anymore.

If I was there now, I'd be purchasing thirty plus dohnuts to be scoffed when I return from an allnight pardee.

I always want it to rain at Glastonbury

This is pure nastiness on my part as the only time I want in 98 it rained constantly. And if I had no fun noone else is allowed any.

Not bothered this year as off to see MBV in Manchester on Saturday. Should be hippy free.

I went twice and didn't go last year despite having a ticket

I couldn't face the journey, the masses, the drugs, the rain, them ud, the masses again and the toilets.

This year my Primavera pal from Barcelona is coming over so we can watch My Bloody Valentine in Manchester, and I'll take him to the Beatles story in Liverpool.

Spending

The money would have been spent going on a new bicycle on saturday, better than spending the weekend seeing rappers and dated mainstream acts
