Glasto - where to camp?

It's my first Glasto this year (i've been to loads of festivals so i know what to bring etc). Where is the best place to camp?

We don't wanna be anywhere really quiet but we don't wanna be anywhere really noisy either?

Suggestions please?

  • Latitude

  • Pennards is quite good

Though it is quite a trek, especially through knee-deep mud.

  • near the park,

it's on a hill, near to pennard hill, which is ALWAYS too cramped, and it's alright, but don't stray too far in, otherwise it's bare missions.

  • erm

why aren't you already there? all the best places to camp will be full by the time you get there. good luck.

    • ^this

we got there Wednesday night last year and we were miles away

  • my mate's have taken my tent down for me this morning...

and they got a place on the dragon field! wooop! so now i just have to turn up! fucking miles from the festival bus station though. erghhhh

  • We're going on the bus

so we were thinking of camping in the vicinity of the bus station - looking at the festival map it seems to be closest to John Peel tent.

Is it okay round there anybody know from previous experience?

    • isn't too bad around there.

but it does get walked through a lot so try to camp as far away from the actual stage as you can.

    • yeah, its the main passage/walkway for people on the bus and so on.. so if it gets a little wet,

      absolute mud pit.

  • Cheers

I think we'll try round there but away from the actual walkway

  • Good place to camp?

On the sofa with the red button?

(Other than that I'm always quite partial to the campsite behind the cinema field.)

  • Apparently Jay-Z was very happy to hear that the artists get proper accommodation

and he wouldn't have to choose where to camp.

He's still got 99 problems but a pitch ain't one
