I know I’ve asked before, but who is going?
What songs do you most want to hear? I’m a bit upset they played There There last night, as I can’t see that being played tonight, I also want to hear last flowers, but I don’t think that’s been on any of their set lists this tour has it?
Oh well, I’m megaEXCITED!

if they play let down will you cry?
i think id cry if i saw that :)
i heard it last time i saw them
in 2003 when i saw them i cried at where i end and you begin for some reason
Me
99% probably.
I wanna hear "Just".
me
I don't want to hear just..and hopefully they won't play it as I had to endure it last night!
:P
they played that last night
i'm scared they won't play it again, i well want to hear it again, they didn't play it when i saw them in 2006 :(
Yeah, they play it fairly often but not always.
they played that last night
Hi sorry I cannot help you because I don't have any idea about this matter

yes yes
i'm really excited and have done my best to avoid last nights setlist.
tis my 4th time seeing them too. Although i'm seein them next week aswell !
Hoping
for Paranoid Android, Optimistic, House of Cards and Where I End... to be thrown into the shuffle tonight maybe a Karma Police and Fake Plastic Trees. If I can say after tonight I've seen them do 32 or so different songs this week that'll be good
yeah they HAVE to play paranoid android please
me
I'm going.
I want to hear all of it
also
I really really want Let Down, as I missed the 2006 tour.
though its not going to happen as a) it hasn't been played yet b) or soundchecked
Don't be selfish.
You may have all night and all of tomorrow to spare, but I don't.
Pick some tunes!
k, I'll be happy to hear
planet telex
airbag
the bends
house of cards
i'm going too
i'd love to see:
Karma Police
Where I End and You Begin
Reckoner
I'll be happy with anything else. Never seen Radiohead before so hearing the big hits would be nice, but according to the review they won't be playing them, so thats a shame for me but I will be happy with anything really.
did you see the set list for (i think) the second milan date
it was pretty special
Yeah
but I was chatting to a guy at Sigur Ros last night who'd been to both Milan dates and he said they were very very MEH.
So we still win.
schweet!
I'll be happy with whatever they play.
But I really hope they play Optimistic.
Should I go again?
I am very tempted but am in work with a medium-sized hangover.
if tickets really are going for a tenna, it's your duty!
Where are they going for a tenner?!
Do tell!
Seconded
Pls tell Steve.
someone mentioned something do with touts selling them cheaply
you'd have to turn up late though, and i don't know for certain.
i think i might well go again..
its just too tempting!
Should be good
But I'm sceptical it's going to live up to Sigur Ros yesterday. We'll see.
OF COURSE IT WON'T!!!
But it'll still be dead good.
you don't deserve to go
with an attitude like that!
I'm going on Friday and will be happy with whatever they play as they have so many amazing songs :D
:-P
Were you at Sigur Ros last night?
*Nothing* can top it. Seriously. Radiohead had better make me moderately happy tonight ;)
i might pop down
see if any touts are selling any at a cut price. not exactly far for me to walk.
£20 apparently
£10 if you go about 5 minutes before they're due onstage
last night's set
looked pretty great. airbag, planet telex, everything in it's right place, how to disappear... i'd be very happy with that lot.
The National Anthem
Optimistic
All of in Rainbows
and I'll be happy
your wish was granted
nice!
Well that was great
Highlights for me:
Idiotheque
Bodysnatchers
15 Step
The National Anthem
Rest of it was pretty fine too. Really enjoyed it despite my fears of the huge size of the show, crowd etc. Hoped I wouldn't be surrounded by chatting wankers, but instead I was next to people who sang along with Idiotheque. Proper fans. My kind of people. Good times.
Also:
Biggest singalong: Karma Police
Biggest mosh-up (where I was anyway): 2+2=5
My thoughts on tonight:
MEH.
If I could put that in a size 72 font, I would.
why?
Seriously?
I thought it was amazing. But then first time seeing Radiohead.
It wasn't as good as Sigur Ros
but the atmosphere by the barrier was electric, especially for the encore. Everything up to Myxamitosis (except There There) was definitely MEH though.
that was because of the sun light i thought
if you closed your eyes it was fantastic.
I agree completely
and MEH was my review as we left. Can't put my finger on what it was though. I like the songs and they weren't fucked up, sound and ataging were good but still it was just MEH and boring.
Probably even worse than V. I think it's because it's the same crowd as V really. Or maybe Radiohead are tired and bored.
i liked it
yeah, sure. but the crowd atmosphere was so disappointing. you'd think a load of people who'd paid £50 to see a band would be more into it.
also i lost my friends so i was alone, but that didn't bother me too much.
sorry we didn't meat up
my recieved messages weren't coming in until after the gig, i got some strange bulk thing with 3 or 4 messages, from you and Joe that were sent earlier in the evening all arriving as the gig ended :(
yeah the signal was ridiculous
it must be something to do with all those people in one space, i kept getting messages late as well.
i thought it was great
it was the 5th time i'd seen them, and i've always loved them. it was nice to hear lucky again and ending with 2+2=5 and paranoid android was loads better than when they tone it down for the encore. also for the most part the new material sounded loads better this time round (compared to 2 years ago). all in all i'm very glad i went, if i'd gone on tuesday i'd be very tempted to go again, especially given the prices i heard the touts getting.
I've got mixed thoughts
If I'd have been closer to the stage where the people who were really into it were, I would've enjoyed it more.
As it was I was surrounded by morons who paid £50 for a ticket and then just stood around talking the whole time. You can do that at the fucking pub, you mooks.
Still, Idioteque and Everything In Its Right Place were AMAZING.
Exactly.
It was the people.
They seem totally unaware that they're actually at a gig until it got dark.
Until then it's just an opportunity to have a natter with your mates, with your back to the stage, in every single fucking direction around me, wherever I went.
I totally agree
I saw them 2 weeks ago in Dublin and the crowd were great. Last night there were people chatting all around me to. One cunt went off to the toilet, came back and started telling the rest of his mates his adventure to the toilet and back. Fuck me just watch the band, thats the only reason you're there.
I musuberstood the concept of turning up late to get cheap tickets
apparently an hour was too long.
the stage looked amazing through a crack in the fence, we watched a bit before being told by security that they'd paid for the grass up to the pavement and could we please move along..........
it was the first time Id seen them
Massive mix of emotions. I think it must have been one of gigs where it really depended on where you stood as to whether you'd enjoy it much or not. In Rainbows has dropped in my estimation, the weakest songs were mostly from it (although Bangers n Mash, Bodysnatchers and Weird Fish/Arpeggi were all amazing). In a crowd that large though I wanted Radiohead to connect instantly with everyone with an opening blast of something familiar and loved, this didnt happen until Lucky which was absolutely spine tingling (There There should have been this moment was played far too slow). The sound was alright at least, only the piano and keys occasionally got carried away in the breeze. Once they really hit their stride towards the end of the set and the encore it was everything I wanted it to be...except I was on my tiptoes, but thankfully people were singing along and getting into it by now and the fact they played My iron Lung was nigh on orgasmic. Worth £50 though? Probably not..
I watched the football then found a hill next to the fence
Saw the encore, Paranoid Android was cracking. Wouldn't have paid £40 for the whole gig though...
