Someone recommend some good music to listen to in the gym?
I listened to Bob Dylan today and it didn't quite work.

new order

"get ready"

i rarely ever go to the gym but when i do, i listen to new order.

Cardio or weights?

Back in the day, before I became this amorphous blob I used to find Big Black (especially Kerosene) worked well on the treadmill. It filled me with the rage and hate that I needed to keep pushing myself. Also the drum machine gives you the kind of metronomic rhythm you need to keep a pace.

For weights I also like something with a bit of bite and aggression to get the testosterone going: Black Flag or something.

Cardio

i'm physically incapable of lifting weights.

Torche

yes!

I'm off to the gym soon...

but I think I'll just listen to the sound of grown men grunting. :(

pantera

slayer
hatebreed
biohazard
earth crisis

:D

Johnny Foreigner!

That'll give you adrenaline.
Or Blood Red Shoes or QOTSA, something like that ^^

I find that

Daft Punk is quite good for running as it's nice and upbeat but you do tend to run in a funny way as if you're trying to dance.

...

I always put on Underground Resistance on the rare occasion I do exercise. Something like Electronic Warfare.

.

i used to just focus my mind on the steady pulse of noise in fuck buttons. i had to turn it off a couple of times because i just got way too into it, i could feel my heart bit a too hard and in time.

That Holy Fuck album

works a treat.

^ yes this

Also, Hextatic

lcd soundsystem

it makes me feel like im in some sort of 80s educational video. specifically someone great.

Destroy Rock and Roll- Mylo (Milo?)

tends to get me sweaty.
Modest Mouse also springs to mind.

James Brown

Seriously! Running is way more fun with a little funk.

gossip - careless whisper

this is my fave song at the moment and it's great if you want to do a really fast sprint on the treadmill!

Got to be Metal

or Hip Hop.

SLAYER

Eric Prydz

Cut Copy

Gotta be

Hardcore / punk
