Bands who you think will reform before long

Not in the "ooh, Led Zep tour/Smiths/Stone Roses!!!!!" sense, but lower down the scale. So Dodgy are touring again, Jesus Jones are touring, Bis can never decide whether they're defunct or not, even EMF are doing a few things - supporting Carter USM, chiefly - and one of them died in the meantime.

So, obviously we'll see Space before long, and I wonder whether Martin Carr might be tempted to put out for a couple of Boo Radleys paydays now Brave Captain has been put to rest?

  • The thing that reminded me to start this

was seeing the latest announcements for Offset: http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/080623f.shtml

    Midget, sir?

    • Midget reformed

      one year ago...

  • martin carr

is working on some other solo thing that's not Brave Captain apparently.

    • Agreed

Don't think a Boo Radleys reunion is on the cards.

  • When I saw this thread

Boo Radleys was the first name to spring to mind. Never saw them while they were together, but I'd definitely be there if they did reform.

  • blancmange ..

... are working on a new album

I'm probably the only person excited by this though

  • Pavement will reform next year

    • rlly?

    • ^

i thought this already happened, or was imminent, as a one-off for the Domino birthday party?

it seems inevitable there'll be massive demand for a tour after that. seems really likely to happen.

  • uncle tupelo

the alt country payday can't be far off.

    • Do Tweedy and Farrar

      get on now?

      • i have no idea

but if lou barlow can get on with j mascis and eric gaffney these days i guess anything is possible.

  • Soundgarden.

  • I know...

one of them is busy with Oasis, but I wonder if the MBV shows might prompt a Ride reunion. Mark Gardener and Andy Bell have played together a couple of times recently, and Loz Colbert is keeping his hand in drumming for JAMC...

    • The Specials

Have apparently already booked 3 nightsat Brixton early next year !! I for one would like to see the Psychadelic Furs come round properly agian - i think they may be doing something low key in usa at present- massively underrated brilliant band !! Most of the britpop bands that havn't reformed probably should now if they want a pay day -if carter usm can get one then anyone can !! Expect to see Elastica, sleeper ,new fast automatic daffodils ,gene on a 90's Package tour at wembley areana next year alongside Jesus Jones EMF ,Pop will eat itself and Menswear !! Pulp will be back live within a couple of years Blur will tour again as soon as Oasis announce thier next Wembley stadium gigs !!!

      • are you

        the stupdendous yappi?

  • Dont KILL me

The Libertines - actually im probably just dreaming.

  • i'll be amazed

if Ride don't reform sometime soon.

hopefully in time for a Nowhere 20th anniversary special.
