Just saw a post saying people will be queing up from 10am!?!?

I was going to get there for around 1 30 ish. But apparently I need to be there A LOT earlier.

So what time is everyone else arriving?

pretty late

waiting is shit

I'm off on the 25th

But probably won't be able to get into London until about 7...so I might (just) get there in time for Bat for Lashes, but have to put up with being at the other end of the park as Radiohead. Ho hum...

probably about 5 or 6

I'm coming down on a coach from newcastle, I'm not then going straight to a field to stand about for four hours, I can do that at home

Your home is in a field?

WERE YOU RAISED IN A BARN?

pretty much

sheep fields to the the west, south and north of me, a graveyard to the east. Sure makes finding dates tricky, necrofiles and Welsh folk would say otherwise though..

I was planning

on going after work, so I'd get there about 7ish. Does anyone know what the capacity is?

1.30!?

whats the point! i reckon about 6 or 7 ish?

I was going to

stroll in at 4, and hope to get near-ish the front, but I may go down a bit earlier as I have the whole day off...

does anyone know

how many people are actually going to be there? i really have no idea

looks like

im now going by myself 'cos my cousin's messed up getting a ticket, this is going to be a lonely evening :(

Pshaw

Me and the other 20-odd thousand others will look after you. Just say hi: I'll be the one with the hair and the shoes.

^ I was going to wear this.

Now I'll have to come up with a new outfit.

Whats the point in going to stand at the front that early?

As soon as you eed a drink or a piss you've gotta leave the crowd and you're back to square one anyway surely?

Can anyone who actually does this (i.e. waits at the front for hours before the gig) tell me the answer please?

Totally agree

Standing at the front of a gig this size is without doubt the most pointless thing to do...you don't even enjoy it...

depends what floats your boat i guess

So if curfew is 10.30

that's a 2 1/4 hour set.

Not bad. Could be a bit longer given only one support though I feel.

According to atease

it's 'just after 8pm'. Whether this means 8.15 or 8.01 though...

stagetime for BFL?

any news on whether there is anyone else?

BFL are on at

6.45

I live down the raod

I'm going to sit at home, drink beer, play Guitar Hero and wander down around 7

surely even if you arrive at 7pm-ish

you'll be able to worm your way to a decent position? think about glasto main stage, and there's usually around 70,000 people watching the headliners there.. this is 20k i think?

Really, no need to get there before 4pm

Even getting there FOR 4pm is pretty unnecessary

Getting there before the doors open

is what 15 year olds do

Happy days, happys days

But then I was old enough to go to a pub and realised stading outside the doors of the Astoria two hours before it opened for Feeder was pretty lame.

Now I just stroll in as Feeder are about to start playing

:)

My mum let me have the day off school to queue for a Manics gig. Thanks mum!

I saw them in Nimes

and walked near half an hour before Bat for Lashes started and had an amazing position about 10 rows from the front. 'Getting rail' is overrated.

what time

are radiohead on or finishing does anyone know?

apparently they are on at

8.15

i'm so glad i couldn't give a crap about radiohead

this gig sounds sooooooooo depressing and rubbish

Let me get this right...

Doors open at 4pm and the support isn't on until nearly 3 hours later??

and some people are gonna start

queuing at 10 am?

and it cost approx £50?

and you can't take your own drinks?

one support act?

in a massive, massive, massive venue?

they may have released an album for free, but christ they're making up for it by bleeding every fucker dry.

jeez

I dont think ill get there until about 7, might go to rough trade quick after work then try and catch Bat for Lashes. I take it there are seperate tickets for the nearer the front circle bit right?
