I am. Should I split double albums into disc 1 and disc 2? Is this track name supposed to be punctuated incorrectly? I don't know! :'(

I think the album tags doesn't matter
as the albums need to added by lastfm first.
But yeah. I always make sure my songs are bands are tagged properly before the listening commences!
yes
of course.
i tag double albums as one single album and adjust the track numbers. WINNER.
um no....
am i a loser :p
Woah
That's a bit unspecific, isn't it? Surely it depends on the album? Like I'm listening to Cap'n Jazz's Analphabetapolothology, and since that's just a compilation and probably only on 2 CDs because it wouldn't have fit on 1, I put them together and adjusted the track numbers, but something like Foo Fighter's In Your Honour, FOR EXAMPLE, is surely meant to be listened to as 2 separate CDs.
yeah
i was actually talking rubbish there. i base it on how the album is presented. if it's stylistically one whole i'll tag it as such (like Mellon Collie by the Pumpkins or Being There by Wilco) but if it's two albums packaged together I'll put them seperately.
i actually retagged all of analpabetapolothology,
so that its divided into shmap'n shmazz and the rest. just because.
Oh yeah
I was thinking about doing that :$
i tag the discs as one and two
etc
you are in need
i still haven't forgiven you for berating me at atp for having BADLY TAGGED MP3S on my ipod
it's a fair criticism.
actually fuck it - i was going to try and defend last fm and point out that it's less useful if people have stuff badly tagged but this is current right near the top of my recommendations:
http://www.last.fm/music/Jenny%2BLewis%2B%2526%2BThe%2BWatson%2BTwins
YEAH GOOD ONE
no
i love last fm
it turns listening to music from an enjoyable experiece into a wonderful system of lists and order.
I think it only does that if you are one of those sort of people anyway
all this ordering albums chronologically bollocks :)
its great
order. i have lists of stuff that ive recently got so i remember to listen to them, and a system of ticks. ill stop talking now :)
i really hate
being able to find any CD I want within 12 seconds.
lists!! charts!!
music!!
All brilliant things.
I am a bit.
I had Abwärts tagged as Abwearts yesterday, so I had to change it. Quite embarrassing...
I haven't tagged a single mp3 on there
but if I were to start now, I probably would become obsessive about it
i'm a huge last.fm geek
if you have an account on there, you should be!
YES.
so much. especially with downloaded albums. i always check wikipedia to make sure all the track names/numbers are correct, and then if one of them doesn't match wikipedia i have to cross-reference with other websites and if i can't find a reliable consensus on the correct spelling (or whatever) then BAD THINGS HAPPEN :'''(

speaking of which
"Salt, Pepa and Spinderella" or "Salt, Pepper and Spinderella"? According to last.fm "Salt, Peppa And Spinderella" is the most popular currently which SURELY can't be right...
I don't know
and it is seriously getting me down :(
salt, peppa and spinderella
is what it's called on the actual album tracklisting on the back of the cd.
:O
Nooooooooooooooooo! :'(
I actually went back and deleted all the times it had logged as "Salt, Pepper and Spinderella" so I could listen to it as "Salt, Pepa and Spinderella" :'(
fuck, mine's tagged wrong
that's what i get for trusting the CDdb :'(
so can we have a consensus please?
is "salt, peppa and spinderella" now officially correct?
i'm so glad i quit last.fm
who needs to know i listened to Santana 53 times last week? Not me, certainly. And anyone who does care about it is probably a massive wang
so you don't care, yet
you pop up in pretty much every last fm thread to post something either WACKY or to say how rubbish it is?
good one, craig.
so what?
me not caring about listening to Santana 53 times has nothing to do with my interest in last.fm as a subject. And if you hadn't already noticed, i post in every thread i have any vague knowledge/interest in. It's one of the bonuses of having no life
I think that last.fm is, on the whole, a negative influence. The recommendations/gig calendar mean nothing to me, and since quitting it (due to technological incapabilities) i've felt a lot more free in my music playing. I still listen to the same stuff, but there isn't the thought in the back of my head about "how will my charts will look if i listen to this album again?". Also, endless cred-grabbing lists piss me off - who is "the last.fm chart" for, really? Other people? Fuck other people
So, am i allowed to have an opinion and express it? Maybe i should be more WACKY
1 Bright Eyes 18829
2 Band i really liked when i was 15, but who are actually rubbish 224
3 More wimpy indie nonsense 116
i'm just advising you to watch it
or you might turn into prole ;)
Yes
I obsessively check peoples pages, make sure my music is tagged appropriately. Its pathetic, I know. But I just love lists and order.
bad mp3 id tags really upset me.
i remember the day
i realised i'd missed the apostrophe in help she can't swim... a double whammy of bad grammar and bad tagging. needless to say it nearly finished me.
