Cheap Trick

Live at Budokan is one of the best things ever. Anyone else a fan? I think they got rapidly shit after their first few albums though.

  • They must be contenders

for most overlooked band in recent times.

Their debut was an absolute killer. Other fans? Steve Albini for one.

  • They rock

Saw them at the Shellac ATP and they were amazing. Seemed to drive half the audience away though.

There's a fantastic bootleg version of "In Color" floating around on the net. The band were never happy with the synth-heavy sound of the original, so they re-recorded the whole album with Albini about 10yrs ago. Never got released for some reason, but it's a belter.

    • must try and get that

I can't believe they played an ATP. Wish they would again!

  • I only know that

'woke up with a monster' song.

  • Big fan

uptill the early 80's anyway when it all went a bit Stadium. A perfect blend of the Beatles and the Who.

  • I love that album,

and there's a great live version of 'I can't take it' I have on one of the compilations. I'd like to get more of their stuff, I don't know which one to start with though

    • first 4

studio lp's & the Budokan one are all killer no filler. In Color is just great!
