that Sean Adams (of DiS) made them change their name for 'commercial' reasons. Indeed, it was a key clause in their contract.
Is this true? And if so, do they resent Sean for chasing the money - not only in terms of the contract itself but also in the way in which he has systematically ruined his website in return for greater financial gain??
if they're a bit annoyed that a few years ago they were a really exciting, inspirational band who were set for great things...and then they waited for ages to release an album and when it happened, the mainstream didn't really notice and it was hard to get a copy?
if they've 'drifted away' - their new album was still their biggest release, in terms of records produced and media coverage, to date, and they've certainly reached a level where they're sustaining themselves as a group - which is more/further than a lot of their peers I'd say. Granted they haven't been propelled to stardom, but I do think they've achieved a kind of cult status which is a feat in itself.
loads of albums get good reviews, how many sell a decent amount or break even? Not that many. I'm guessing Youthmovies haven't shifted a load of albums, which is a shame.
if he's ever going to release the Ed Fitz collection double cd he's been promising for about 2 1/2 years, and whether he's going to keep bullshitting and saying "SOON!"
are
they going to record another collaboration with adam gnade?
ask al how he is doing IRL
he is online on facebook but i cant be bothered to open the chat thing.
Is the band
name going to decrease further, perhaps to 'You', or simply 'y'?
A yes or no answer will suffice.
I heard from a reliable source

^ask them that
it's a good question.
oh you
The second half is only semi joking,
but the first part is a serious question.
...
Why doesn't their music contain blastbeats?
^^^ for serious ask this
are they ever going to reschedule
that Cambridge gig that they cancelled, or are they just going to roll it into the November tour in some kind of massive cop out? Hmmm?
No, not bitter. Why do you ask?
ask them
if they're a bit annoyed that a few years ago they were a really exciting, inspirational band who were set for great things...and then they waited for ages to release an album and when it happened, the mainstream didn't really notice and it was hard to get a copy?
Will they rise again?
I'm not joking
I used to love Youthmovies, they were my favourite UK band - and now they've just drifted away.
^^ Ask this question for sure
it's exactly how I feel about them.
ask them
if they are gonna do another improv thing at reading or another spoken word like the year before.
not sure
if they've 'drifted away' - their new album was still their biggest release, in terms of records produced and media coverage, to date, and they've certainly reached a level where they're sustaining themselves as a group - which is more/further than a lot of their peers I'd say. they've
always had a cult following havnt they?
werent lots of people
complaining about the distribution though? not their fault of course but good press cant make up for people not being able to find it.
or can it?
course it can't
loads of albums get good reviews, how many sell a decent amount or break even? Not that many. I'm guessing Youthmovies haven't shifted a load of albums, which is a shame.
or is it?
Ask Andrew Mears what's happened to his Plosives side-project.
It's all gone a bit quiet and his debut album was meant to be released last Easter.
ask al
if he's ever going to release the Ed Fitz collection double cd he's been promising for about 2 1/2 years, and whether he's going to keep bullshitting and saying "SOON!"
Ask them
why they've split up.
ask them
why nobody wants to buy a second hand (mint) copy of their split with the ed fitz.
Ask them
Why they said they were "experimental" or at least that's what I was lead to believe... then when I saw them they sounded like MOR rock.

Ask Sam what DMFLP stands for, i dare you!
