I think I've posted once before about these guys, but what's the general consensus on DiS? Personally I think they're a breath of fresh air as opposed to the Gallows/Ghost Of A Thousand/Cancer Bats style of 'harcore' that's prevailing at the moment.
DiScuss.

*'hardcore'

obv.

If the good die young

we'll fucking live forever!

Great band. Not sure there will be too much love for them on here though. Could be wrong.

I don't think you're right to lump Cancer Bats in with the Gallows/GOAT/Dead Swans etc brigade though.

Second album, especially, has a real sound of its own. Influenced as much by southern rock and metal than hardcore.

But, yes, TIH rock!

Excellent band

gutted I didn't get tot see them when they hoped the pond a few months back.

Sundowning sounds a lot better than Misfortunes however, kinda disappointed by the new long player...too crisp for my liking.

They're pretty good aye

I'd definitely lump Cancer Bats in with Gallows et al, except Gallows do it better!

I like them a lot

although i think they've yet to find their peak, or that one amazing song people can grab onto. Also, aside from the 3 bands you've mentioned, what other acts are playing the style of hardcore you think is 'prevailing'? I think heavier metalcore is actually more in vogue inside the scene and those three bands truly stand out which is why they've got some attention. Jeez, Cancer Bats played the Barfly last time they were here.

I went to see Robyn last night (with the gf)

and next door was some 'road to download' gig with

A Day To Remember
Devil Wears Prada
Alesana

Never heard of any of them, but the scene kids were out in force. Are these the heavier metalcore bands you speak of?
Sounded shit from the bits I could hear outside.

TIH

Fav hardcore band at the moment. Amazing stuff, amazing live.

Blacklisted and Killing the Dream are sweet too.

This Is Hell and stuff has no relation/no bearing whatsoever on that 'road to download' rubbishy bands.

I'm aware of that

Also big into Blacklisted, Heavier than Heaven is best hardcore album ive bought this year, as well as Cursed -III.
