headlining at 229 Club on Monday, felt really sorry for them as Tokyo Police Club were doing a warmup type thingy (before they went to Scala later in the night) and after they had played nearly everyone left, so by the end of Semifinalists there were only around 15 people watching them, were really fun though even though I think one member was missing as there's 3 in the band isn't there? Here's some photos from the night (taken by my boyfriend) http://flickr.com/photos/daleharvey/sets/72157605414294398/
the audience has rightsnstuff, but it gets to me when a touring band is on last, and everyone that is there to see someone else (usually their mates) just leaves before they start, and the room suddenly feels very empty. i always try to give the touring band a chance, and sometimes its really worth it, but most people don't seem to
Saw them at 229 on Monday and while I felt sorry for them when the crowd left, there were even fewer there by the end - I actually walked out after a few songs as they were soooooo bad. My mate Ed said it was like a shopping centre audition - and he likes them!
Incidentally, people leaving before the last band seems to be a feature of 229. Went to see Envy Corps and Collapsing Cities were on before them. They pulled a full house and the 'headliners' were left in front of about 25 people and didn't look too happy about it.
oh
and excused the screwed topic title.
Seminfinalists = Semifinalists.

havent heard it yet

i dont understand why people do this
surely if youve paid money to see a band you would watch them, rather than going home?
it's nice
i don't like it as much as their debut, but maybe it'll grow on me.
theres not enough shoegazey bits
Not even Quarter-finalists
