I'veonly discovered this in the last week or so, since Mike Patton and Melvins were confirmed as atp curators. But my god what an amazing album this is! DiS review sums it up pretty well I think http://www.drownedinsound.com/release/view/2758

So excited at the prospect of witnessing this performed live at nbc!

Can't wait for this!

I remember buying this album after getting into Faith No More, it took along time to digest (although not as long as their debut), but once I got it I was in awe. If you don't own it already, buy Delirium Cordia.

It's a brilliant album

Really, really inventive covers. I'm so excited about ATP :D

Fuckin great

album. What about their take on The Omen theme?? "Corpus! Animus! Satani!!!" I love that shit.

So much good stuff on here

Think my favourite at the moment is Der Golem- it's ridiculous but brilliant!

SO SO SO GOOD

:D :D
but then so is every fantomas lp

Even

Suspended Animation?! Even I, most patient and tolerant of listeners, found myself switching off after five minutes.

i trialed it the other day and kinda agree about that

i'm going to try again later though

if you can handle

the first fantomas album, or boredoms, or naked city, you should be able to take suspended...

I dunno

I just thought it was fucking annoying!

These theme song covers started as bumper music for gigs

has anyone heard their video game theme covers- they are kind of thrilling? Fantomas is my favorite Mike Patton project and Director's is my favorite Fantomas album- although I love all the Fantomas albums. Next fav Patton project and album is Mr. Bungle'e "Disco Volante" - I remember taking much flak for hailing it as the best album of 1996.

I bought Mr Bugle's debut

for a fiver today (thank God for the return of Fopp.) Haven't heard it yet so looking forward to having a listen later on!

haha

get ready... that blew my freakin mind when i was 14

you lucky shits going to ATP

although i was lucky enough to catch 'em at the LA2 back in 2001. just turned 18, it was fucking immense!

i was obsessed with fantomas when i was about 16

i love the directors cut and delirium cordia...

i'm quite tempted to resurrect my mike patton interests, although i find it hard to forgive him for peeping fucking tom. probably the worst. gig. ever.
